My friend’s dad’s team did the CG animation for this movie. He didn’t know what the movie was or what the final product would be, he was basically just given wireframe to program while some other team did the graphics. He got his family to come with him to the premier but they were running late so they skipped dinner. Everyone was tired and hungry. Ten minutes into the movie, my friend said his dad just put his head in his hands and kept saying “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I’m just so sorry.”

Actually, the only scene that got a laugh out of me in this whole movie... was the scene where Loki threw the fake mask at Ben Stein and he said “Ow” in his Ben Stein way 🤣 And that was it.

The kid who won the Mask 2 contest got a crew jacket from New Line Cinema, $5000, and when asked if there was a game he wanted, by Leslie Swan, he got also got a copy of Pilotwings 64

Doug and Rob Walker have good sense of comedic timing, that opening alone with Devil's wife saying that no one will find the movie, only for the scene to cut to Critic picking it up. :)

I'm a little ashamed to admit this, but there is something in this movie that I genuinely do enjoy; Jamie Kennedy wearing the Mask. I know it isn't really that good, but honestly, I do enjoy it, and I do have a couple reasons why. Reason 1: General comparison. When I look at the scenes of Kennedy in the Mask and compare them to the rest of this film, his scenes are some of the only parts that somewhat resemble something you would expect from "The Mask." As such, I actually get a kick out of seeing him do the strange and surreal stuff that Mask allows someone to do. Reason 2: Genuine curiosity. One of the thrills of "The Mask," whether it's the comics, movies, or show, is how the Mask works. It removes its wearers' social inhibitors and unleashes a side of that person's personality that he or she keeps locked away. As such, whatever the Mask turns someone into is entirely unique to the person, and it's always a thrill for me to see what the Mask will turn someone into and what exactly that person will do. However, Jamie Kennedy Mask isn't enough to save this movie. Why? Because he only appears twice in the whole thing; once in the first act, and once in the third. The rest? Just... Bleh.

Truth be told I used to have this movie for the longest time but never watched it cause I kept forgetting about it until about five years ago when I watched it and after I finished it, which was the hardest thing I've ever done it was like hell built four more levels and made a documentary on them, I literally snapped the disc into several pieces and like in nostalgia critics one ring joke threw it into a fire no joke.
