That is absolutely wrong way of installing wheel bearing, u need to push the bearing in on the outside collar , u can clearly see it on the instruction supplied with the bearing
This is the same as mine, does the spring clip the only thing that locates the bearing. I am getting a slight rubbing noise when a slight drive move to the right is made, it is just a little noise like a pad touching but only on the right turn from the left side. Wheel bearing flex is the only thing I can think of although it turns smoothly??????????😮
Yes once that bearing is pressed fully home you will see the clip snaps completely in, just be careful how you press it in, you can see in the comments some people don't agree with the way I did it but it works for me, one guy has a link to a vid where he's using an old disc to sit the bearing on, I personally would never press off a cast steel disc as it could shatter but I guess we all have our own techniques mate, let's know how you get on 👍👍
Personally mate I wouldn't press anything sitting on an old cast steel brake disc which has been split to slide in, I have used my method all my career, I'm almost 50 now and never had a failure, however using a disc health and safety training wise your going to end up with an accident and an injury and that's for sure, I guess we all have our own ways
@@kensjobs2237 Do you know how this bearing is constructed? It's a double treadmill!! Correctly you are pressing the outer treadmill, You don't transfer pressure through the internal roller. 🤗
If you pressed it off the outer casing then the double bearing would burst apart, you can't see but it is pressing the centre, if you watch my vid of the Renault premium reduction hub job I emphasise this point that your making mate 👍
@@kensjobs2237 I see you don't understand what I'm talking about, and how this bearing is constructed. watch my video on how to press in. No pressure on the central track!! Any good mechanic will tell you the same. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZzXScJSD1cU.html Also check how a professional workshop does it with a professional tool for these bearings in Sprinter or Vito. There is no pressure on the central track!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KpL90z40jBI.html
