You and Simon have done an amazing job on these - they look amazing and show how much impact you can have without buying new or spending a ton of money. Do keep us updated on how they wear. I made the mistake of using wall paint on the wardrobe doors (too impatient when I moved in) . I've now learnt preparation is key, and that having kittens will ultimately see you doing paint updates quite frequently lol

It looks brilliant!!! if you don't want a bendy rail and don't want to put a middle structure in, for mine I got an old sweeping brush wooden handle and inserted it into the tube and it adds structure no bend. I'm sure any wooden cylinder or dowel the length of the tube would work.

Honestly gasped when you opened the doors to the new layout inside! 😱👏 Looks so good, well done you two. (I always like my jeans hanging with the crotch/buttons at the back, so the flatter leg sides are visible at the front, looking super neat and tidy like your scarves). Can't wait to see Sunday's video with you arranging it all! x

Can't wait to see the finished bedroom 😍 Idk if you have plans for your shelving already sorted out but natural wood shelves (to that area to the right of your wardrobes) would look amazing against the dark paint color you've chosen!

Vents can go on the doors of wardrobes and cupboards in old houses to save leaving the doors open. I had aqua boards put on the back of my built in wardrobe, but I still leave the doors open slightly as my pets like to go in there, if someone comes to the door!!! It's their hiding place!!! I love it when you said ... "I said yes but that was a lie"!!! AWESOME VIDEO!

So glad you mentioned farrow & balls extortionate prices. I feel like youtubers forget that paying 60 quid for a tin of paint is absurd& this is coming from someone who's dad is in the decorating business 🙄

@@lovinglife6526 oh ofcourse,farrow and ball usually gift the paint it's quite often written in the description box. I dont mind watching gifted items , but when they try to encourage and sell people the perks of 60 quid on a tin of paint when they wouldnt themselves but rather ask for it for free grinds my gears.

You've done a great job. We painted our lounge in "railings", but used Farrow & Ball, & we needed more tins than we anticipated so I don't wanna think about how much it cost! For the dining room we will do what you've done & get the colour mixed. 👍

Instead of that polystyrene stuff you can use Zinnser paint. No damp will penetrate at all. Its amazing and can be painted over too

I think it would make the room feel a little cramped, as there's not that much space down beside the bed and another wardrobe in that corner may be quite imposing. Plus I would then have to fill it with more stuff 🤣

Thats a veneer gloss finish so couldn't paint over it, but I am looking for a new one that I can paint/is in a different colour 👍

Hi Emma! Just make sure there is no traces of Asbestos anywhere in the house before ripping things as many old houses in UK had asbestos used. Love your channel and your personality! 😘

Made a really good job of that. I was starting to worry when you removed the insulating paper, but glad you replaced it. Had a problem in the house I lived in years ago when the people I bought the house from had constructed built in wardrobes on an outside wall. Being young and inexperienced couldn't understand why our clothes started to get mould. They got ripped out as they weren't that good and replaced with free standing ones

What paint colour is on your bedroom walls? It looks like the perfect grey. I struggled to find the perfect light grey paint. The one I used look more light blue-ish grey!

Wow what a great transformation!! I also have veneer mahogany fitted wardrobes that i'd love to decorate. Did you sand them before painting them white first time round 8 years ago? Or did you paint straight onto the wood ? Many thanks x
