Thank you both for this wonderful interview! The “butterflies” to me are a great symbol so I never use that analogy with a negative feeling. I say instead if you get that pit in your stomach, that’s the bad feeling. Butterflies will always be good to me so that’s just my take.. they will be that great feeling I identify with.., Spiritual relationships are so challenging to maintain but yes, times are changing and we need to be ourselves fully and true without being afraid of that coming out. We have that trauma in our past to then get it brought out in others so it can heal.. Thank you Dr. Laura for your boldness.,

Interesting conversation! I can see the generational differences in the comments. As one of the older folks that didn't grow up with the internet, it has taken me a long time to realize how hard it's been to keep my sense of self in marriage and family, even married to a kind person. The best thing you can do is know yourself well before making major decisions, and don't let society or anybody else talk you out of your instincts. Nothing is worth your health or peace of mind. However, a good relationship can really enhance and expand your life.

What a powerful interview!

LOVE IS LOVE. I believe the first thing that will be changing, but it has not in this video (I did not watch the whole video) which I’m surprised about, is the use of the word love. You don’t love your husband, any differently than you love insert whatever or whoever. Love is unconditional, but we don’t even need to use the word unconditional because love is love, if it’s conditional, it’s not love. That’s what love innately is. Love is not sex and all these roles, titles, obligations, and expectations we attach to it. It’s something else than when conditional and that’s up to you to figure out what that something else is. Really it’s something else period because love can not be defined. I’ve heard this soberingly accurate phrase, anytime we say I love you it’s more like saying I need. What is it that you feel you need? That you feel you need from another that you can not provide for yourself? Love does not take two people as we’ve been programmed to believe, it only takes one. “Relationships” are an experience that we choose to be a part of while in human form. No different than choosing to experience going to a baseball game. It’s up to all of those in the relationship to decide what it means to them. It’s not up to society to decide what that should look like or how we should act, so really there’s no need to even talk about it. Let it be. Question, think of the world you are not living and experiencing because you are choosing to live life based on roles and how you should act in said role vs living and expressing yourself as the free and abundant person you came to this planet to experience. So maybe, relationships will start to be brief, and will be a short time frame of how we want to experience and express life, and then move on to what is in our highest interest. Maybe it will be with the same person your whole life, maybe many, maybe none. It’s in our best interest to stop trying to pigeonhole “love”. Man continues to try and define things that cannot be defined. I do hope we come to the space where we just let everything be already. Allow every one to be an expression of what they came to this world to express without labels and roles. There is no “elevated” love my friends, love is love. Just be you and express however you choose in EVERY moment. I LOVE you all!

Brilliant. I've lived alone 4 8 years, and I love it... Lost my husband to cancer @57. We owned a business together, so we grew fast and together. It was really cool. I love my life now... In the country, but have little cities around me when I wish to go and be in a crowd kind of thing... I am a painter/actor/singer, so the arts is were you shall find me... I am a light worker.

Very interesting and unique video. Aspects I'd never applied into real life knowledge. My take on relationships is, unfortunately, many souls jump into relationships without taking the time to get to know the other soul. In this new Era, souls are becoming way more destructive in their own lives, which is resulting in the destruction of mother GAIA and each other. Respect is ultimately the reason many relationships fail due to severe lack of respect. If you don't respect yourself, you can't respect others. Another good and very common phrase, "treat others the way you want to be treated" ....is it really such a nail to the head?
