How hard is it to drive in japan? Would you say renting a car has its advantages? well be staying for 2 nights there and it might make it more memorable for us if we had free reign over kyoto
Hello, Driving in Kyoto was very easy. The streets were not busy and we had freedom to move at our own pace. We also went to the country side and areas that were not as touristy. We enjoyed renting a car for the day in Kyoto. In Tokyo we took the trains everywhere which was very efficient.
You mentioned parking is easy. Can you tell if it is pay parking and if there is time limit for the parking? How would is the parking within city area? Thank you.
Hi, everywhere we went had signs with the price and time limits. They also had people working at the parking lots which was helpful. Most of them were cash only. I'm not sure about the city area. We picked up the car in the city and returned it the same day so we did not have to park in the city.
