A cornerstone of research is reproducibility. In recent years, the {renv} package has been developed to record information about the environment in which an analysis was produced, i.e. the R version and package context. {renv} is gaining popularity as a tool to improve reproducibility of projects in R. This workshop will explore the possibilities of creating reproducible workflows in R using renv, as well as the caveats and considerations involved in doing so. This practical session will explore initiating projects with {renv}, creating snapshots of your environment to capture the state and updating these snapshots. Attendees will get familiarised with site-wide, user-level and project-level .Rprofile configuration. We will also discuss project sharing and reconstituting projects on a collaborator's machine.
