He did not break the law. There is an exemption for lawmakers to carry a firearm in the Capitol, just not in the House and Senate chambers and their adjoining lobbies and cloakrooms, the Marble Room of the Senate, and the Rayburn Room of the House. GOP members railed against metal detectors being installed after Jan. 6. Because how dare they be held to the same standard of everyday Americans. They're too special and too superior for standards reserved for the everyday person.
The only way to silence the conversation is for Trump to not be in office, or have a shot at it. Trump needs to go away if the conversation is going to end. Otherwise, it is DEFINITELY not ending.

In order to cover the immense costs of security details for his family (including his children), yes, he needs to raise funds. Mit Romney (who also receives death threats to himself and his family) pays $5000 PER DAY to protect his family. Very few people, even members of Congress and former members of Congress, could afford $5000 per day. So, yeah, I would start selling books and do speaking engagements to make enough money to protect my family from daily physical threats. Protection necessary because a few of our fellow Americans have crossed the line into anti-democracy. Into political violence.
Why are the Democrats and mainstream media obsessing so much about January 6th? I really don't get it. It has been almost 3 years since it happened, and we have dozens of issues and problems that are a million times more important than Jan 6th. I'm sick of hearing about January 6th and I don't care anymore. Why are we not talking about the dozens of issues we have right now that are a million times more important? I'm a million times more concerned about things like inflation and the rising costs of basic necessities like food, gas, electricity, and housing. I'm a million times more concerned about the crisis we are having at our southern border, how the border is not secure, and how, under Biden's leadership, over 8 million illegals have crossed our southern border, and the border crisis is getting worse. I am a lot more concerned about the insane amount of corruption we have in Washington and how the American taxpayers are getting robbed by the military industrial complex. I'm a million times concerned about why our president is sending hundreds of billions of dollars of our money overseas to fight a war in Ukraine that has nothing to do with us and how we are now finding out that money was being stolen and embezzled by Zelinsky and his goons, as recently reported by Time Magazine. I'm a lot more concerned about these issues and don't give a f*** about January 6th yet The View and mainstream media is talking about January 6th non-stop.
