I have this bench as well, great review. One thing you didn't really mention is what a great value it is, super low price for what you're getting. My fav flat bench that I've used.

I love Rep! I have a 5000 rack, Ares, ISO arms, 5200 bench and FB 5000. Great quality. The thing I love about REP is their loyalty program where you are awarded points for all your purchases and then you can apply those points to future purchases at a discount.

Ive had this bench for about a year or less. So happy with it. I wasnt too impressed with the wide pad but i put the thompson fat pad on it and i felt like that was a huge upgrade. Before this bench i was using the rogue flat utility bench- was a bit slippery and i think benching on that one aggravated my shoulder. Rep 5000 with thompson fat pad and monolift attachments have helped me feel way more secure in my setup, positioning and lift off. Well worth it and great value. As a side note, it would be really cool to see Rep offer just the bench without the pad

Sounds like you know your benches. I need to get a Thompson pad in the gym to compare one day. The ft-5000 wide pad is a 1000x better than what I was using in my last commercial gym so I can't really complain!

@@MacStrengthCo i still have the wide pad sitting around. It was definitely an upgrade at the time but still in my humble opinion, thompson pad even yet better than the rep wide pad and i really feel planted. Keep up the good reviews!

I went and tried a Thompson pad today. You were right it's nicer and really supports my shoulders better. I'll be adding that to the list. Thanks for the advice.

It's still a bargain when comparing to other benches. I would like to get my hands on a 4000 to see them side by side.

Been wanting one of these for a while, but having a hard time choosing between the FB-5000 and the Vulcan Prime Flat Bench. Very similar construction, both have the excellent grippy material. The most obvious differences are the larger front foot on the Vulcan and the handle is horizontal on the Vulcan instead of vertical.

I can’t speak to the Vulcan but I can tell you 100% you won’t regret buying the Rep 5000! I’ve trained hard on it for most of the year and for the money it’s hard to find one better. 🤙🏼

Are those Titan spotter arms on the Rep pr5000 and Titan rollar j-cups? Great bench and gym by the way.

@@MacStrengthCo awesome I have the pr5000. Was worried about perfect fit. My Titan roller cups are on the way. I might consider the Titan spotters. I don't like how reps don't have the pin lock.
