Imagine a monochrome doll, but with like, a contrasting eye colour and nails or something like that. Edit: Sorry, I should have specified that by 'contrasting' I didn't just mean hue. I imagined the monochrome would be dark and/or dull; maybe even grayscale, and the eyes would be bright. /lh

I am a first time mom with a one year old and I am so glad she is still making videos. It feels like she has a very good support system around her that allows her to continue doing what she loves without having to worry about baby getting into everything and that makes me so happy for her. AND A NEW STUDIO! Now her paints and supplies will be out of baby's environment and she can full focus. It sounds like I'm saying she's trying to get away from baby. I'm not. It's super important as a new mother to be able to be alone and be able to do your own tasks because a major problem with new mothers is losing your sense of self if you are not allowed to separate from the baby.

YEAH, SHE'S BRILLIANT! I learn so much from watching her. In one of her videos she talked about a color theory principal she learned in school, and I think about it all the time when I do color composition! (it was regarding a piece where she really wanted to emphasize the pink blossoms and create a rosy pastel atmosphere, so she added some light green to break up the composition to add emphasis and really make the pink pop! Anyways, it is a great tip, and I think about it all the time)

Anything but rainbows, I'm gonna puke rainbows soon. They used to be special and meant innocence and childhood or cuteness. Nowadays it means virtue signalling for the boring masses, especially for a months straight, rainbows, rainbows and sexual preferences. ART TIP: I've used fluro paint for some of my projects and its so hard to get it opaque. One trick I learned was that to add just the tinyiest amount of white with it. It didn't really change the colour, but made it so much more opaque.

I love roller skating so I thought you're making a gang of rainbow roller skaters just by reading the title. I have to say I was kind of disappointed when I saw the skate board 😅 But it's actually more interesting to see a group of friends with different hobbies! She turned out awesome! i think the hair style in the end suits her very well! also, you wouldn't want long strands of hair hanging in your face while skating, so it really does make sense that she would go with this instead! This video had all the things I have previously complained were missing from recent videos. You showed the reroot, the hair styling, the jewelery, the clothing process, design sketches-- everything! I love to imagine that the reason her sweater is made out of different fabric patches is because she had several bad falls while skating that caused some damage to it so she patched it up using fabric scraps 💖 Maybe Tokki helped and sewed on the big heart in the middle since it matches her more pastel palette aaa 🥲💕 I love that you can tell Tokki looks up to Ruby a lot just from a few photos 💕💕 It's so sweet 😭

One, I love these characters, and I think it could be so fun to see an entire set of rainbow girls, each with a different skin color of the rainbow we already have, Pink and purple now we need the other colors. Ive learned that blushing around joints before painting helps alot when color rubs off because sealed pastel is far less likely to come off than dry paint. Hope this helps! 😁

It is a little ironic how Ruby both blends in and stands out from the rest of your rainbow pastel dolls. Yes, her hair is made of rainbows and goes very well with the rest, but also stands out just from how bright and saturated she is. She's like the one friend in the group who does another sport or club compared to the rest, but has a common interest that makes her fit right in 😅

Hey Katherine!! I really think you should give rainbow high dolls a try! Maybe find one at a local thrift shop that’s in dire condition. It’s something very different than what you’re used to, but the articulation is amazing and I think glass eyes would be cool in your style!!

I love rainbow colors too. It makes me happy seeing a beautiful, clear rainbow after rain and it reminds me that God gave us the rainbow as a promise he'd never flood the earth again. A beautiful gift from him if I do say so myself. Very pretty doll too, I love the hot pink! :)

ruby reminds me so much of myself right after i came out. i would deck myself out in rainbows as a sign of queer teenage rebellion. my fashion choices lean more towards monochrome black these days, but i still adore rainbows and pastels and cute things. for anyone out there who's still figuring themselves out, i hope you know it's not cringe or weird to enjoy being boldly yourself. it's the coolest thing you can do. happy pride month!!

What a great video. I wasn't sure I'd enjoy the saturated rainbow- but I love your take on her, and I love that you found ways to make her special and detailed without fancy body mods or Apoxy Sculpt- it just highlights how you can push your creativity into so many different directions. You might call in at a Ceramics shop, and see if they have any sculpting/sanding tools that might help with the inside curves of a dolls ear. I seem to recall a tool with a different sized ball at each end. The balls are scored for abrasion. I don't know if the abrasive will work on the doll vinyl, but worth checking!

Amazing doll, as usual. The super hero motif on the skateboard was actually something that the original character liked, and they even made an episode based on it. The whole thing was based on Comicon and Ghoulia had to save a stolen comic that had that superhero, which was her favorite. I'm glad to see that they added that small easter egg into her new doll.

The fact that I know the characters on the skate bord is not from the third gen, but the first gen, found in the little animated series, speaks of my dedication and love of the first gen who where perfect in my eyes with all there quirks, gimmicks and flaws. They taught me self-love and loving people for the fact that they were people with kindness in their hearts somewhere.

I love her, her skin is sooo pink that it fills me with childlike joy, and her rainbow hair is awesome!!!! Don't feel bad that the colors of the bun mixed, it gives the impression that maybe Ruby does it herself and she might not get it perfectly sorted or that the mixing happened whilst she was skating. She's just so pretty and I love her design, the fluorescent pink paint was the correct choice for her skin lol!

ahh what a perfect doll to kick off pride month with! I absolutely love how bright and saturated Ruby is, it's a welcome burst of color compared to the light pastels you normally do. Iris (Literally means rainbow) Iridiana (Also means rainbow) Arcus (Great because it means “Goddess of the rainbow.”) Coral Prism (Because prisms reflect *bright* light that can bend into *rainbows*) Karafuru (Means colorful in japanese, and this doll gives heavy harajuku vibes) Clarabelle Aya (Means Colorful in japanese)

Well kind of, most people interact with bright colors from childhood in the form of enjoyable things such as toys, stuffed animals, colorful clothing, etc, and the brain memorizes that as a positive experience, therefore when seeing bright fun colors the brain recognizes it as a positive and release endorphins (I may be confusing that for another hormon so take it with a grain of salt) which makes us energetic and excited!
