I got this radio In a large batch of radios from a collector who suffered from dementia It had tubes plugged in in the wrong locations. Tubes in it that didn't belong in the set and the incorrect value capacitors installed. It's dead so lets see what's wrong and if we can get it to play again.

I feel for the guy who had dementia. It must have been horrible not being able to continue with his hobby any more. Glad you fixed up this set.

Wow yes I know about Dementia my Mom had it really bad. But to have someone work on a radio wow I can see why that was really messed up. Great instructional trouble shooting video though. Thanks for sharing.

That is why I love virgin untouched antique radios. That way, if it's screwed up, I know how to fix my mistake.

That is more or less how I ended up with a bunch of radio's. Most been worked on already and unfinished projects. The man who owned them died a sudden death so I could not ask him anymore. It was quite a challenge with some of them radio's to get them to work again. Thanks for the video!

Dementia is a terrible thing. In this gentleman's mind he was doing what he thought was right. Nice radio, glad you got it working.

That green wire going to ground seems like it was identifying as a coupling capacitor, that's not very diverse equitable or inclusive to just chop it out of the circuit like that 🤣 ROFLMAO
