Creating sparks over a battery is asking for an explosion. Run a fan or blow on top of the battery to disperse hydrogen gas.

when you spray that carb cleaner in next to iffy electrical connections and a battery, my heart skipped... VERY DANGEROUS ! (carb cleaner is typically so flammable that it can be used as starting fluid ). suggest you put some safety warnings in the front of the video. no offense just trying to prevent someone from having a terrible tragedy. Good Luck! 1. I do have a question, Can gas be drawn thru an in tank fuel pump with an external inline pump (to alleviate dropping the tank etc. )

Got a bit nervous after the introduction of the carb cleaner. Does not take very much to be mixed with the air in order to ignite. A fire needs 3 things. The fuel and oxygen have been introduced. The sparks while connecting the wires are plenty sufficient to supply the heat needed to complete the trifecta for the existence of fire. Sorry. Nerd valve developed a leak. It's sealed again. lol

Took a week, but totally worked.More or less exactly like you did yours. Threw mine in the ultrasonic cleaner a couple of hours total, too, but after a week of solvents, rubber mallet whacks, and alternating polarity, my pump works again! Thanks!

This absolutely works! I used we'd-40, the car I got was parked 9 years . I followed this video and it worked same day, I did not have to let it set, but I did reverse the terminals to free it up! Thanks for your help, you saved $100.00. Bucks

By the way, I used a battery charger on a lower charge setting to reduce the power going in to the pump

top man took out the pump was getting faint click used some Wd40 and hammer spinning an hour later still stick every now and then but I'm only am hour in will keep at it

I just unstuck the stock fuel pump on my Toyota. I let my tank run empty and let it sit for about a month which I knew was a bad idea. My friend said she did not have time to take me to get gas- what a friend. Otherwise I would never have let it sit dry. I figured it was just stuck so I took it out and shook it up and down hitting it on my palm. I added a few drops of oil and attached some power through my battery charger and tapped it on my palm a few more times and it started to run again.

1 week of work for a $100 pump.....ummmmm. No thanks.😐

Had a full tank of gas sitting for 6 years. I was getting noe results for about an hour and was just about to give up. Then I decided to use a metal hammer instead of a mallet, and I hit the pump HARD at all around it and within 2 minutes it finally free'd up. thanks
