Now THIS is what we need more of. My Surface Pro 4 is permanently borked because of the emmc storage dying. Thank you for making new Surface products more repairable. You’ve made me a very happy camper. I can finally say I could recommend Surface devices again. I LOVED my Surface Pro 4
Yay for repairability!! I hope Microsoft keeps suppling parts for long. I have a Surface Laptop Go 2, and I hope I am able to find a battery in 2-3 years :)
Thank you MS for your efforts here. However, the obvious thing here is being able to replace the battery, and from this I don't see why this shouldn't be possible. Is the battery not available or something, and this is why the obvious elephant in the room has been ignored?
thanks for your clear and enlightening video. When I was triyng to replace my battery i accidentally damanged the side conectors of the screen. Will I be able to find these conectors on the market or do I have to buy a new display?
Just got a surface go 4. The ONLY reason i considered a surface is the upped repairability and the fact that its done so relatively reasonably. I think the fact that the ufs is still fully soldered, and is now ufs instead of ssd, is kinda scummy, honestly. Thats the apple-way of doing things. I hope this keeps improving. Its better for everyone.
I want a Surface Go version similar to the ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid. This way, the touchscreen of the device will be utilized more and become more useful. If adding calling capability with a SIM card, it would surpass the Surface Duo, eliminating the need to carry a phone!
So this is the dummy who designs these. Bro next time make the ssd and ram accessible and also we don't need sticky screen. We just need screws. Nothing else
