That glue is conductive after it ages, it is not supposed to get to the bottom of the board and in the newer versions they plugged the holes to stop this happening. When you start probing around in it it can start to cause issues with the op amp drive circuit, it is best to take some time and pick all the glue off.
Spot on, that yellow glue goes a brown colour & then becomes conductive, It all needs to be removed or you will have your problem again, Worse glue ever used in electronics to hold parts into place.
I don’t get it either. The board won’t work if you replace the PIC microcontroller with a blank one. Where did he get the IC from, already programmed by RCF?
So i notice some caps burn did u check them in the area that smoked, signs of burn ? Also the signal light to show the level of music before it limit the green light suppose to be blinking !!!
Hi I have the same failed board. the U14 component, near the power supply, an 8pin IC blew up and I don't know what component it is, by any chance can you give me the part number or a schematic?
I have a rcf ART745A, it lights up green, but it doesn't sound when I connect audio to it from the mixer console. but if I connect sound from my laptop if it sounds.
hello , i have two speackers rcf art 712Mk4 , one of this have an issue, when i rise the volume up after 80% i have big distorsions , i was to an electronist with module and tested on osciloscope he tells me that the pic16f689 is the problem , i'm in Romania and i understand from electronist that the pic must be programed with the correct firmware, can you help me with the link from where to buy the integrat programed? thank you
Pic program ic not the issue. U need to check saparately HF & LF, if HF is working fine after 80% of volume then check in LF ic or surrounding smd component of LF ic can also be possible causes.
