Repairing a Faulty HTC Vive Controller Not Pairing or Tracking Initial Diagnosis 

Hey, my controller showed the exact same issues. Since I also have a steam controller, I transplanted the trackpad and now it works again. Thank you for the video! I do have to say though, that the steam controller touchpad has a little bit of room to wiggle, so I used a narrow strip of double sided adhesive tape between the daughterboard and the plastic housing. The haptics is still rattling a little, but at least it works again. It's a shame the steam controller has been discontinued.

I have a controller that wont go into pairing mode, any advice? I think the menu button may be broken but I have no idea how to check

hi. I have multiple vive controllers in case of situations like this, but when I try it on any of them, they still don't pair. In my thought process this indicates that it's likely a software issue, not a hardware issue. So I decided to reinstall steamvr, and hard reset the controller I was using. Neither of these things solved anything for me, do you have an idea of what I should try next?

My HTC controllers have really annoying janky movements that would sometimes stop tracking intermittently while playing beat saber. From what I recall, I never dropped it, (or atleast dropped it hard enough to notice damage, or on non carpet ground). Would this help me solve the issue? Also, they are HTC Vive Pro Controllers and I'm using Vive Pro 2. Is it still applicable? Everything is fine (headset, base station etc) except the wonky controller movement. I tried as much as I can, reinstalling the vive software, using different ports and cables, repositioning the base station, resetting settings, but im freaking hopeless and shattered. 799 USD down the drain (temporarily)

Is there a known reason for loosing tracking AND pairing? A defective solder joint? A defective BGA contact? I don't want to buy a replacement again.

I have the same problem but by mine it‘s still connected but dosent show off and the icon from the desktop where all devices listet on, Is it still blinking Is there any thing to fix it or some thing like hard reset for the controller? Like to disconnect the link to the vr headset like it‘s brand new o:

The problem I am facing rn is that my controller is flashing red. I was using it today and It was fully charged, I took a break and turn off everything and when I came back to boot everything back up It just starts to flash a red light.

My controller when it gets to a certain area of tracking it just drifts away and doesn’t track properly

I have the exact same problem, if I connect via usb, I can see all buttons have at least 2 seconds delay, but the touchpad shows no signs of life and I live in a 4th world country and I personally emailed HTC and they told me they have no interest in provide service to this country please help me
