I'm about to texture after fill, sand, fill, sand...repeat. 76 Sierra short box, but up is the way we go living up here at 10,000 ft elevation and running 35s. My floorboards were rusted horribly, had to replace that (don't weld so it was all fiberglass repair...advice on that is to buy entire pans and find someone to weld them instead of being cheap like me!), replacing-modifying ductwork die to ac delete (guy before me fabricated his own causing water to leak into cab creating the whole nightmare I'm in), but now the installation of the 100 things u have off begins. I'm thinking of doing a clear coat on the dash only for protection like you said. Great videos and wish me luck!

Great video series! I was going to trash mine, suck it up and pay the crazy money for a new pad but I have the resin sanded down ready for the fiberglass mat. Thanks!

Looks great. What made you go with the bed liner texture? I’m watching because I’m about to try this on my 98 GMC. Hot Georgia summers have cooked it. Btw love the father son interaction too makes me think of me and my boys when they were younger

Appreciate it man!! I went with bed liner because I watched a video made by SprayWayCustoms and that’s something he recommended. If you want the dash to be smooth you can skip that step. I wanted mind textured. I have three boys and I love the opportunity to spend time with them!

The dash came a long way. I recent bought an 86 Ford F350 and I will be repairing the dash and other plastic trim including the door panels. This video has been helpful.

Looks good man. You give me hope for when I tackle this type of project. The imperfections don't really get picked up by the camera, most people probably won't notice unless you point it out. Big thanks to Sprayway though. Givin' us them tips and inspiration.

I'm new to your channel and enjoyed the 7 episode dashboard series. I got a '83 K5 and have the same issues with my dash. Seeing you put SprayWays technique to practice was excellent. I thought I had to have the exact tools that he has and got discouraged, however watching you gave me hope and I am looking forward to fixing my dash myself!

I thinking about doing my dash what is one bit of advice to give someone?

The biggest advice I give you see be patient... And wrap any speaker grills, vents or anything you don’t want fiberglass on it with aluminum foil. And if you soak the fiberglass in resin it lays down easier. Hope that helps! If you need and more help along the way dm me on IG @tnt_garage19

Man you killed it! Imperfections are just our way of showing that we are human. Backyard perfection. Better to do it ourselves and save the bucks to spend on the family. Wish that was going in my k20 suburban.
