i have nicon 100D and after year of no use it just died . changed the batery and stiil dead . any ide of what might go bad ? and how do i test the power supply and main board ?
Hi there! Thanks for your helpfull video! I have a similar problem with a D5100, power reaches motherboard, but no life in camera.. What would really be helpfull if you could share more details on the Power-driver-chip you have replaced (specific location? foto? type-number of chip?, where did you get spare-part?). Would be great 🙂Thanks!
Hello techxian, Great instructions to open D5300 up. I followed your instruction on my D5300, and found there is no 7VDC power reaching the four pins (White-Orange-Blue-Grey). The max is b/w White - Red is 0.2V. Battery by itself looks good as it show 8.1VDC. The camera got water splash on it momentarily and has not powered up since then. What can recommend to check further or maybe a problem? Thank you!
Thanks for filming this and sharing with us! How do we find the short in the main board? What kind of test or tests can we do? Can we just buy a main board and just replace it? If so, where would I find it?
@@powerofknowledge7771 check first the supply from the battery and check the circuit in there if there no supply may be there a open fuse, see it in my video..
Hello, what would be your first opinion on a Nikon D7200 that does not give any sign of life? Battery and charger OK, Battery connector clean. Is there more chance that it is the DC/DC board (fuse?) or the motherboard on this model? I can't find much information on Google (and no repair manual).
check first the primary power supply of the camera near the battery ,check the fuse and if there is a supply output to mainboard..try to disconnect the that supply , if you measure a 7.4 volts then connect to the mainboard if voltage will drop is has a short circuits in the mainboard
@@copaindu49 try to find the short in the mainboard..supply 7.4 volt the mainboard then touch the components and find the component that are overheating ...sometimes you will see it burning if you supply the board a few minutes
Thanks for the video. Can you help me with information? I connected a higher voltage source to my camera, and since then it hasn’t turned on anymore. Would it be necessary to change the main board?
check first the circuit near the battery if there an open fuse and measure also the supply to the main board if there a supply 7.4 ...then its need to replace the mainboard because of over voltage
@@techxian Hello Friend. Thanks for the answer. I changed the PCB and the camera is running, but it doesn't display anything on the screen. The screen is lit but without information. Do you know what this problem could be?
I had the following thing happen with my machine. I have a Nikon d5300 and all of a sudden it crashed at an event, it literally wouldn't turn on at all just the led flickered when I turned it on green. Two days later when I checked again the camera already turned it on but strangely when it was on the camera was actually off and when off then it was on. I once put it on off thinking they had turned off and after a few days when I wanted to use the machine it was completely discharged. After about a month again it wouldn't turn on. The battery I checked and there's no problem with it. I wonder what could be wrong with it?
there a problem on rhe mainboard.. first check the power supply section if thw a short circiits in there..common problem is the chip on power supply section of the mainboard

check the contact of the control panel may be there are broken connection...use magnifier or miscrope to see the broken connection..usually it happen when not properly inserted to the socket or accidentally bend the contact
Hindi na po nag t turn ON yung D3300 ko kahit fully charged na po yung battery nya. 3 years ago pa yon and ngayon ko lang nakita video mo. Kaya mo po ba yon maayos? If yes, how much po? Nasa bicol pala ako.
try first to reset the camera..you will find it in menu..if does not work there maybe a short button or open connection...is your camera splash with water or liquid? do you bring it near to the beach?
Hello, i hope mabasa nio po. @@vinhofrancisco maybe the polarity of the dummy battery is been reverse and cause the camera not to powering on or the adapter if too high dc output, check it with voltmeter and double check the polarity
thanks you sir for the correction...the problem that i encountered in that camera is the shorted driver ic at the power section.,i replace that driver ic ,it is more cheaper than to replace the whole mother board of the camera...
