This is something that we are trying to fix on our farm in central saskatchewan. Started to get worse with ten years of extreme wet years and tossing bucket loads of nitrogen at it not bothering with a soil sample or even simply shutting the fertilizer off in these dead zones. We are going to try and subsoil. Something that no ones done in our area in 50 years. Now that you mention sulfur I might give that a go as well. Thanks for the great video

Behold...UNSUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE creating problems that they try to fix with more problems and unsustainable solutions. Salt in your soil that wasn't there before probably came from agrochemicals or the salt levels rose once people plowed over forests that naturally kept the salt levels low, because of science you didn't bother to learn. Drainage problems? Maybe don't drag heavy machinery across the land which compacts the soil, which is probably already weak from agrochemicals that killed the soil life which further weakened aggregation, causing lack of porosity (oxygen pockets in the soil which plants need to live), and thus led to poor water infiltration creating standing water. You don't need to repair the soil, you need to educate yourself in ecology, soil science, and Native agricultural techniques. TILE DRAINAGE doesn't fix anything. It just redirrects the effects of the problem downstream to ruin other ecosystems.
