Also not being negative, just realistic. If he carries good form over 17 weeks and ends up in the playoffs or the final then fair play to him, one week doesn't prove anything you donut.
C'mon. It was only the first week from 17. Last year there were no players who did not win at least one night. Most likely the same will be this year. I still believe that a player ranked 21st should not be in the Premier League. If he will win the whole tournament and pick up the trophy, then he will prove me that I'm wrong. Nevertheless I can't deny that he was in a good form yesterday and that 160 checkout was really beautiful.
Its great to have the Premier League back. I think everyone played well today but my word i cant believe Chris Dobey won on the night. I mean yeah he just won the masters but u would think on his PL debut hell be nervous or something but no, he looked focused before every walk on and didnt even smile. Kept it professional and just thought he has to do his business. What a fantastic debut from Hollywood, couldnt have got any better than that especially the final, beating MVG with a 160 checkout in a final leg decider after what happened just over a month ago in the WC quarters, that was a simply sensational finish from Dobey.

So he’s just saying he still cheered for Dobey’s 160 even though it was against a Dutch darter. But obviously you already understood that and just wanted to bring negativity for some reason

That checkout was NUTS! Especially after Dobey had some wide misses at the 60 the two previous visits. After his second to final visit, I assumed he must have resigned to defeat. WOW; didn't see that coming 😂

I'm surprised not to see a comment about Russ Bray thinking Peter Wright hit the treble 13 during his check out and also miscounting 123 for Dimitri against MvG 🤦🏻
Disgraceful that the scorer of the PDC gave a 121 finish for a win, when even the announcers knew it was not correct. This is not Friday night darts at the pub & just lost sooooo much respect for Peter Wright knowing he pulled his dart out of the 13 knowing it was not a treble.....glad it did not effect the outcome of the match!
MVG stated that with the level being played , its harder for him to win tournaments ( except the 4 he won in 2022 ) ...so even if he plays great , someone will come and challenge that
I said Dobey will finish bottom. Maybe wrong, but despite that, there has been a clear rise this year for Dobey due to a much better scoring power, well done.
I must apologize for previous comment. I too along with the announcers was fooled by the camera optical illusion of the treble 13 dart. Good example however of how maybe the PDC should jump on the video review train that exists in professional sports today. With this high level of skill that these players have today, perhaps could mean the difference of winning big money that is coming the PDC way after the world attention the MVG vs Smith leg received.
9:39 - Wright's dart didn't hit the treble 13. Some might call that cheating, but either Wright needs to get his eyes checked or Russ Bray didn't look close enough. Update; I think the dart is in the treble 13 after all... I think the edge of the flight is causing an illusion that's making it look like the dart isn't in that treble...
No-one doubted that Chris Dobey is good enough to compete with the best... but so are 20 other players - it doesn't mean they were right to pick him over Humphries and Noppert
there is nothing wright , nothing wrong . If u guys feel there is anything wrong , u can file a complaint to the PDC Board Director . Will u do it ? i highly doubt .....so either u accept things as they are , either u keep on complaining which steels your joy .
Is it just me, or does it appear that Wright's attempt at the T13 (to leave 32) is actually just wired outside into the S13 instead? Either I'm wrong and it is in fact T13, or Bray has miscalled it by calling game shot when Wright hit D16.
