Hi, I enjoy watching the DIY videos! I'm a newbie but enjoy a project. Need advice on a Market place Laser marking machine purchase that didn't work out. Basically the Raycus 30w power source has visible burned fibers. Need experts advice... any chance to fix or join fibers (professionals not me) cheaper than complete new laser source? Raycus RFL-P30QS. Thanks!

Hey Kyle, Alex. Any chance of getting a review video on the ranger 3? Im looking for a desktop that can do some production (not enough space for bigger laser). The review from light-object doesn’t go into details and there are not that many videos about it. Hows the quality, work speed etc.

Just remember that the Emergency Stop button is not meant to be the regular On/Off control for the machine.

While this may be the case for machines that auto-fire when provided power (think band saws, table saws, etc), this isn't entirely the case for lasers or things that rely on the controller to provide instructions/input to operate. It all depends on their design, how they operate, and how they are wired. In this case, this is exactly how this machine was wired to operate, with the exception of the door safety switch (which serves the same functional purpose of breaking the circuit for safety). This machine's key only cuts power to the laser tube (not the case for all of them, but that is why we didn't discuss it since it wasn't relevant to our troubleshooting), while the rest of the machine utilizes the emergency stop for power control. There are many machines these days that only come with an emergency stop for power, and up/down buttons (such as the most recent Co2 Galvo we've been using), just a design choice and isn't really abnormal for this type of operation where the machine doesn't immediately start a spinning blade or anything like that.
