While correct I have to give pointers for those who aren't sure how the hinge placement thing works since mine was supplied with the hinge inside the keycap and looked like it was glued in place on purpose: guess they really wanted me to reassemble it, took me two hours and this video to figure this out. Since magic man doesn't want to reveal his secrets. Do these steps slowly and without too much force - this plastic can snap easily if not careful 1. align the two joints into the holes of the other hinge (don't put it in sideways, or horizontally you need this to align properly: as if you were just putting two lego bricks together) 2. make sure both pieces are flat with one sitting on top of the plastic top line and that the two joints are in the holes (if it slightly diagonal it's wrong realign it: one piece is not perfectly flat - this is correct) 3. push the slightly raised plastic towards the bottom of the hinge: you'll notice it aligning as it should (it may align left then right - this is not unusual it happened with mine) 4. you can now sigh a heavy relief and stretch the key around the retainers as the video describes. Really wouldn't have hurt to tell the audience this huh? Alternatively you can watch the other keycap replacement video that is less helpful and just has rave music as if looking cool is something your viewer will want to be when they accidentally snap their plastic hinge... I remember when youtube was filled with people that wanted to help people, not keyboard key suppliers with strange instructional videos that make me want to facepalm. Little aftershow celebration for getting that key in and frowning at how they mention nothing about the hinge besides it comes with the keycap supplied (if it hasn't been glued into the back of your keycap unassembled like mine was)

Thanks for the vid. However... on the letter key, the two narrow lugs at the top snap in but the wider two at the bottom don't. So how do you get them to hook in first?

I will never know if my key was actually broken or if I just couldn't get it to go back on. Fortunately, I did buy from laptopkeycom and got a new key that popped right on. It looks slightly different than the original keys as far as what parts the lights show through on the rim etc. However, it feels so nice to have my = sign back again. ============ thanks!

hello friend, I have the same notebook, and when I took the technician to load windows 10, I completely formatted the disk and I can no longer manage to regulate the coolers manually because the partition that contained the original drivers deleted them from the disk. Is it possible that I can contact you somehow? I download drivers from asus and from NVidia but I can't control the coolers manually. the notebook raises me 90 degree temperature when I want to play in any game. I want to lower the temperature to 70 degrees to take care of my notebook
