I literally did the same thing with that piece that broke off. I was able to screw it back on with two small screws… Excellent video by the way.

For what it's worth...I bought a new Doorman brand left rear power window regulator at O'Riley's for $75 plus tax, and it was in stock. The Chevy dealer wanted $225 plus tax. I'm planning to disable the rear windows anyway, but for now they work fine.

Where did the piece of wood come from and why is the regulator positioned that way? Was that stock? I just took apart my door , left side-drivers, and my regulator is flipped when compared to yours. Thanks for video!

Looking like a great video. I need the measurements for that board!!!!! Then I might just pass on the purchase of the new regulator... Aggravating - Local Chevy dealer wants north of $200 for it (I told them I can hear the motor turning and heard a pop sound) So the $200 shouldn't be paying for a motor too. Web lookup I see Local / National Autoparts chain want's about $60 Geeze does GM Dealer take you for a ride on parts. I don't mind paying for the labor. Those guys went to school for something. But the markup on parts is WOW!!!

I did exactly what you said but it didn’t work. I even tried the driver side window switch and that didn’t work either. I checked the fuse box which is number 60 I believe and there’s no blow out. What am I missing?

I do have one gripe about your video...but many others do the same thing. A 10mm bolt doesn't work with a 10mm socket or wrench. If you need to use a 10mm socket or wrench, just say that. I'd guess it's really an M8x1 or M8x1.25, from looking at my Starrett drill /tap chart. Yeah, I'm a retired machinist. An experience that you might find humorous, a co-worker and I were re-installing a refurbished cylinder head on a Fairbanks-Morse diesel engine in a tugboat. Each cylinder had it's own cylinder head. Each bolt was to be torqued to 1,600 ft. lbs. Two burly young guys, big 1" square drive Proto torque wrench, no problem? LOL Added aluminum pipe cheater about 4' long. Nope. Hooked a come-along to the railing and to the cheater pipe and cranked until the torque wrench said it was enough. OMG!
