Most people don't understand how a MAF works (its an anemometer), cleaning isn't recommended, the circuit that decodes the differential signal from the temperature sensors eventually drifts out of calibration range due to aging resistors, calibration trim potentiometer and general age wear and tear. it's recommended to just replace it based on the service interval. cleaning is a short term fix.
"We don't recommend cleaning the maf sensor" Well of course you don't. Buy a new sensor from us, we want your money. Next time your car gets dirty and you can't see out the windows, either buy new windows or buy a new car.

Hello Mister Smith, we would not suggest operating your vehicle with out a functioning MAF sensor. The vehicle will not run optimally, you could experience misfires, poor fuel to air mixtures in the combustion chamber and poor fuel economy.

The sensor in the video is not exactly the one you are asking about. Bosch recommends that if you need to know that you should order a sample of the actual product, so you can investigate.
Hi, I've replaced my air filter yesterday and since then i am getting fault codes P113 and P0104 for my Citroen C4 1.6Hdi 2006. I also have given a light brush to dust out from the MAF Meter. anyway, assuming that i've damaged the MAF Meter, I replaced the new MAF Meter and it gives me another new fault code which is P0401 along with other two. I have deleted all the fault codes waited few minutes and ran the diagnostic again but guess what fault codes are all there...so can you suggest me anything plz.

Ok, how much is the "0280212025" code air flow meter in USA? I want to compare the price here. I have a 2002 VW Jetta TDI and the sensor went bad but the computer never gave any codes or engine light. How is that possible? Oh and I don't like how I got ripped off on a new sensor when the car is a diesel. $150 more because it's a diesel, come on.

the problem was buying a car that Bosch has a monopoly on it's weakest link. let Hitachi or Denso introduce their version and we'll never hear of MAF issues again
