Learn as you go, mileage is knowledge. Good job boys! Beats the hell out of a service tech bill too.

Great video go ahead and do the exact same thing to the other side and get it over with also consider buying one or two of the bottom idler rollers they will be the next to go and if you haven't serviced the oil in the drive motors do that as well.
@windzer

Agreed on the drive motor oil change
@idigit4967

I just recently had a 2000 hour service done, I think the oil in the drive motors was changed during that service but I'll check the record to make sure. Thanks for the advice!

My advice to you is every time you do that , is a good idea check the bottom roller , so that way you have not to do it in a closer time

Can you replace the rear idler without taking the track all the way off?

You need one of those electric impacts from Harbor Freight, they’re cheap and work great!
@windzer

Looks like u got your money out of those parts lol next time u can just smear anti seize on the threads of the bolt itself instead of the hole also keep an eye on those bolts for awhile make sure they arent backing out cause if they do they can snap off and you could have a hell of a time trying to get the broken part of the bolt out of the drive motor or your track frame you guys got very lucky all your bolts came out that easy to Begin with. Next side should be easy lol
@thomaspeplinski6618
@thomaspeplinski6618 4 года назад
You could have just put anti-sieze on the threads, little easier than putting in the hole.

The pry bars and walking the track off was good and you should have used the bars to get the track back on.
