Constant beeping on a new garage door opener typically means the backup battery needs to be replaced. Replacing the backup battery on a Liftmaster model 8500 is the same as doing it on many other Liftmasters / Craftsmans / and Chamberlains. A very easy process and the batteries aren't very expensive.
