Thank you!! I found a tutorial that was much shorter, but it assumed I knew how to open the case. I unscrewed the 5 screws, no luck. Found your video. A-ha!!! More screws under the bumpers!!! I appreciated watching you work the spatula around--it's a fine line between asserting dominance over a computer and ruining the parts. :) Thank you, well done!!!

If you notice that there is a pinhole near the DVD drive button, you can insert a thin paperclip that is extended. That will unlock the drive and open it. This avoids having to power on the laptop again while working on it.
Thank you for this video. I watched it once before purchasing the battery and once when the battery arrived prior to install. I am able to easily open the computer and change the battery by following your step-by-step instructions. I appreciate your help!

Also, I forgot to mention. I saw a light flashing inside the laptop while you were prying open the shell. Not good. It is very very important to completely power down a laptop before you open it. In addition, to avoid transfer of electro static discharge (ESD), you need to be grounded while handling the laptop. A wrist strap that catches ESD should suffice. A small ESD can destroy/burn out a chip on the motherboard very easily. Its happened to me before.
wow, I couldn't believe my eyes. I've been looking for replacement batteries all over the internet. I haven't opened my laptop yet. I wasn't sure if all those TF03XL batteries were for real the ones I needed. anyway, thank you for this video. next thing, would you tell me where did you buy your replacement battery from? I'd like to purchase mine from there too, if yours turned out to be good. and please one more thing, how much time does it last? persuming you charged it till 100% and then started using it. thank you again for the video. it's really made me comfortable about all of this.
how long should the battery last? my laptop was purchased back in 2018, now the battery reaches 50% and shortly after the level goes down a bit less the la[top looses power completely. I went to the website for HP troubleshooting and they recommend to replace battery at this point.

I have the HP Pavilion - 15-cc060wm and I'm putting a 2tb SSD drive in it but I would like to add a Crucial MX500 1TB 3D NAND M.2 Type 2280 Internal SSD also. can I have both drives at the same time? and can I pick which will have the op system on it?
I can't get my CD drive out. You just pulled & it all came out. There's a solid metal "plug" about where the CD screw would be. Is it possible HP made this 17" to be impossible to open?!!
does anyone know where the hell is the CMOS battery on this type of laptop?? I have literally disassembled my laptop in 1000 pieces and can't find anything.. no RTC no jumper..
