I liked the video.where did you buy the new shafts at? I have a real good older motor guide 70 lb thrust.24 volt.it is a beast.but i bent it.noe its hard to turn.where can i find a new shaft?thanks.
How did you get the gear off the top of the shaft? Was it normal (right hand) thread? Did you have to heat it up? How did you hold the shaft? Did hyou use two pipe wrenches? Thanks!!
I needed this thanks. I was going to cut my shaft to make a 42 into a 36 inch shaft but now I see both ends are threaded so I'm wondering if I buy a 36 inch shaft would it replace this 42 inch shaft? Not sure if it's going to be smaller diameter or not. But I got this too long of one free if you have an opinion, give me a shout back. Thank you.
Hi, I have a motorguide digital tour 24v 82lbs thrust. 60 inch shaft. To big for my boat. But I like the thrust power. I want to cut the shaft 12 inches. How do I separate the two shafts? I'm thinking I will cut the lower smaller shaft. Is that possible?
