Replacing Fluorescent Lamps with LED Lamps 

I'm using FEIT T8 Plug & Play or Ballast Bypass Linear Lamp. 4 feet long. Model T4815/4CCT/AB/LED. Not a sponsor.
Unfortunately, the Direct Replacement (Plug & Play) didn't work for me and I had to rewire the fixture by bypassing the ballast.
I used to think that fluorescent lamps used less electricity but when I removed those ballasts they were very hot to the touch! That must have been using up a lot of energy!
