I just recently discovered your channel and started building along, currently at the 6th episode of the series. You made playing this game fun again. Thank you for this amazing guide and all the inspiration you bring!
Love the new interchange, another beautiful build. I do feel like it would be more realistic though for the rail lines to be as flat and level as possible, so I would have kept them flush with the ground as they bridged over the highway instead of having that slight elevation change at the point of the bridge.
Nice work on that intersection. I currently have that map open in the editor (completely by coincidence) and opted to replace that cloverleaf thing with a double trumpet interchange (my first one and if I may say I did a great job 😎). 90% of the fun I get from CS is roads and highways so I figured I'd go to town in the editor then try my hand at a city on it.
I laughed out loud at the Magneto comment with the guy on the electric wheelchair visiting the countryside. Very funny! Haha So satisfying watching all the vanilla get torn out and replaced with awesome interchanges! Nice work OE!
Thats not Magneto at 33:54, thats Prof X. Once again great Vid egg, i really need to catch up on noobs guide, oh check out the new 81 tiles mod, you can unlock either 25 tiles or 81 plus you have the option to have electricity and water go along your roads without the need of pipes or pylons, might be worth getting for Ilos
AMAZING!!! The new big interchange is gorgeous, I'd love to be able to build something like that, and you did it in vanilla, stunning! I love the changes to the rail line well, that was killing everyone to see those rollercoaster tracks all over the map just outside the 9 tile boundaries. SO happy as well that Noob Yolk is continuing for a long time, it's such a special city. I especially love the roadway network in this city, seeing the bird's eye view of it is always fun, and it looks incredibly realistic. Well done today, Egg, looking forward to many more Noob Yolk content!!! ❤❤
How an episode about infrastructure rebuilds can be so intriguing is a very interesting question. :) Because it was. Love the vanilla aspect of the Noob's Guide and how it is still beautiful.
Awesome job on the windmill interchange! I'll have to give it a go. Also, it looks like your road maintenance depot only has an outlet and no way for the trucks to get back. Maybe I missed something though
I like that you now have the feeedom to go big with the city but i would’ve suggested to buy the tiles one at a time still as a bit of a challenge and so that the next builds/episodes are more consistent with the rest of the city cuz it can be a bit obvious that the rest were built in a constraint manner haha. But nonetheless only an idea. Much love! ❤
Fantastic. It sounds so easy when you build. I wish it could be anything near for me but not so far. Sometimes I just look at your videos instead and dream me away.
That windmill interchange looks nice and it should fit well into the country vibes in that end of noob yolk with all the space it needs 😄 I did expect a rail canyon there instead of the tunnel - would likely be cheaper but it's better than the rollercoaster.
Love this man! Maybe call these interchanges rather than networks in the title/tags? Don't want the noobs out there who don't know the lingo to miss out. Keep up the stellar work bro.
Great episode! But you forgot the ramp back to the highway from the bridge right by the new fire tower on the other side of the highway from the maintenance shed. Really great upgrades all around, though, the rails look great and now all you need to do is fix those other bridges where the highways go over the river.
Technically the first ramp wasn’t necessary either since traffic could have also gone to the main road and gotten up there by turning right, but it is a more direct alternate route
Hey Egg! great video as always! I wanted to point out the trick that captain ahvious uses by lowering the terrain dramatically, placing your network bridges/monorail line etc, then re-leveling the terrain. It makes for much leveler network lines and allows placement of bridge structures in without having to go to high elevations.
I only got 2 hours of sleep, so in order to entertain myself in this dreadful day, I watch city skylines creators like yourself and makes my day better. Thank you.
Very cool episode! I am certainly gonna use that interchange in my cities. I think it would be cool to maybe make an Olympic park or an expo center build
Very nice interchange reconstruction. Unfortunately, i will not be abble to continu on this map, as i play on console. As you say, it’s a good opportunity to start a new town. But i will definitely continu to watch this series, and perhaps, one day, we can access the 25 tiles on console 🤞😅 or will i decide to buy a gamer PC… will see. Thx again for all your work and tips !
You should do more highway interchange tutorials. Creating them from scratch with precision, creativity and functionality is the hardest thing to do in the game. I still haven’t cracked it in the 2 years I’ve been playing the game I haven’t brought the mass transit DLC, which makes it harder as I don’t have access to 2-lane highway roads
I hate that console can only have 9 tiles, it has the capacity to have at least 20. Still, tysm egg for all the effort put into the series. Ima keep watching cuz your builds are still rlly good lol😅
Brilliant guide OE! I've built it once on my PS5 and it looks amazing. I've been trying to build it again but the "cursor jump" is making it impossible! Have you heard about the cursor issue before?
Hold up, Wait a minute.. is this unmodded?.. Well I'm very impressed that you can build a very good interchange without mods. Damn I should play unmodded cities skylines. I can't lived without mods now. Just like anarchy. Because sometimes for no reason it doesn't want to go where I want it to. So I just turn that on to fix it. You just earned my sub.
Due to game limitations (I don't know if it's proposital or not), the rescue from a natural disaster can't happen above 25 tiles. So if you are playing with disasters, needs to be this in mind.
Made me wanna try cities. Sucks I had to return my laptop to ged classes bc they re opened class rooms... Too far of a drive tho is My issue tho.. so not only I lose 100$ in steam games but Mut way of getting ged too. Our town has a gas shortage bc of city wide debts and now no one has the gas to do anything.
Has anyone else playing on console reported glitches in the game. I am now seeing brown and black lines that appear then disappear. Only thing I can think is the new DLC.....?
@@OVERCHARGEDEGG Been playing it for 7 years mate. The traffic is the only thing that lets the game down. Its unrealistic in the extreme and needs to be recalibrated by the devs in my opinion
@@davemac5074 yea to be more realistic traffic would have to be way way way worse. Especially since CS uses Euclidean zoning and car oriented development
