@@AutoFixYT I’m actually in need of some advice. I’m using the same tool as you and ive got the washer lock un done but cannot get tie rod. I’m worried I’m gonna break the steering rack. What do you think ? My shit is rusty af and never been changed i don’t think. It’s a 92
@AutoFixYT
@AutoFixYT 2 года назад
If that lock washer is definitely out of the way, then just use a breaker bar and put in all you've got. As a last resort you can heat up the rack where the threads go in hut be VERY careful so you don't overheat the seal that's further down. What I suggest is to turn the steering wheel so the rack is pushed out all the way on the side you're working that way your heat source is the furthest away from the seal. And then once again, give it all you've got. It had to break free eventually.

Yes I have some videos lined up for the Corolla but haven't filmed them yet. As for cruise control, I know it was an option but many don't have it. You can retro-fit it but it takes way more work than what it's worth in my opinion.

Yes I did, they work well and are still just fine to this day! Just make sure you add the grease that comes with them, and that your bellow boot seals up well. Those two things are the key to making it last for a long time.

Can you show up the video how to install a tachometer in a 93-97 Toyota Corolla
@AutoFixYT
@AutoFixYT 4 года назад
I can't do that because mine already has one from the factory but if I ever have the opportunity to film that I will! And the reason I say that is because I don't know if installing one yourself will require different wiring than what the factory already has installed in the wiring harness.

Clunking over bumps, loose feeling steering, tendency to slightly wander to one side or the other, and when you jack up your car and shake the wheel side to side you'll have play.

I dont wanna sound rude or anything. But why do you put new tire rods on a car that is this rusty?
@AutoFixYT
@AutoFixYT Год назад
Totally understandable. This isn't very much rust actually. If you live in a part of the country that doesn't have salted roads in the winter, then I would understand your point of view. But even if this car was actually very rusty, if it's still in driveable condition, a set of $30 tie rods is cheaper than a whole new car and will get you by for a little longer.
@marcellvarga4569
@marcellvarga4569 Год назад
@@AutoFixYT i understand. I live in europe, and cars do get rusty like this. Replacing the sill isn't a big/expensive job if that's the only rust that the car has.
