2:08 If you are taking about the rubber elbow that connects to the top of the pcv valve. I used a flat head screwdriver to break the seal then pulled it up
The more my car breaks down the more I’m noticing that everyone with a dodge nitro has the exact same problems, it’s sucks because I love this car but it’s just falling apart
According to dodge-nitro forum Causes A P0507 DTC trouble code may be caused by one or more of the following: A vacuum leak Leaking air intake after the throttle body EGR valve leaking vacuum A faulty positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve Damaged/failed/dirty throttle body Failed EVAP system Failed IAC (idle air controller) or faulty IAC circuit Possible Solutions This DTC is more of an informational code, so if there are any other codes set, diagnose them first. If there are no other codes, inspect the intake air system for air or vacuum leaks and damage. If there are no symptoms other than the DTC itself, just clear the code and see whether it returns. If you have an advanced scan tool that can interact with the car, command the idle higher and lower to see if the engine responds appropriately. Also check the PCV valve to see if it's blocked and needs to be replaced. Check the IAC (idle air controller) if equipped, verify it's operation. If available, try swapping in a new throttle body to see if that fixes the problem.
Hi bro and hopefully u have a great day! I have 2010 dodge nitro v6 3.7L I have misfire cylinder 4 and air leak so I changed 6 of spark plugs and 3 wires and 3 coil packs and still the same issue! Misfire cylinder 4 and air leaks! So I’m assuming that air leaks making that misfire on cylinder 4 but I don’t know how to find that air leaks at!? Do u have any ideas for it? Sorry bro I’m im gonna make u busy for while with me!
Air leaks? Do u mean like vacuum leak? A misfire on cylinder 4 could even mean you have a bad fuel injector. It takes air, fuel and spark and your are missing one of them on cylinder 4. If the ignition components are new and working look at fuel and air. Like fuel injector and a working intake and exhaust valves.
Hi, thanks for another nice video, what was the reason that lead you to change it? What's the benefit of changing this valve. I definatly want to keep my dodge in a good shape thas why I was wondering if it's beneficial for the engine etc
The Pcv valve or positive ventilation valve works to help gases escape from the engine. When the engine runs it’s create positive pressure and the valve helps the pressures gas escape from the inside of the engine which helps from blowing out seals. Like crank seal, oil pan, valve cover gaskets. Etc.
