A brief view of changing the rear brakes on a Generation 9 Honda Civic with rear disc brakes.
Brief tips & visual of the tools being used as I performed the job on our 2013 Honda Civic EX sedan. A tip, the rear brake pads are utilized with the hand brake.
Tools utilized:
12mm deep socket
3/8 craftsman socket wrench
non-squeal paste
Brake caliper removal tool (rented from AutoZone via loan-a-tool)
www.autozone.c...
flat-head screw driver (to loosen the pads from the disc)
ceramic brake pads
Torque Wrench & 19mm bolt for wheels
Tire Iron
Floor Jack
This is to be performed at your own risk and is my interpretation of the task. Utilize a proper jack & jack stands if available and ensure car is lifted from proper jack point (consult owners manual for visual for your vehicle)
