any rust left in not chemically treated (not just spray painted) will restart the process! there is a good follow question, how long? EDIT: i'm experimenting on a buick i used krud kutterrust converter THAN por15, the down side was lack of time and not cleaning the residual krud kutter off first. though the por15 took two to three weeks to get off my hands so it may stick.
Not shown in the video but we did prep all surfaces with rust by removing what we could then treating it with aspho acid surface prep. Time will tell how long it lasts.
That’s the issue with these trucks. The mechanicals are good but the body gives out. New truck payments are not appealing. Plus it’s fun to try and learn a skill to keep the vehicles on the road longer. I agree do what you can you help the body and avoid vehicle payments as long as possible.
