Replacing screen time with Bible studying 

Am I the only one who struggles with the lies that my Bible study time isn't needed or won't change anything? I know it's not true, but they hit THE MOMENT I reach to grab my Bible.

I recently deleted Netflix, so I can replace that time with more Bible Studying 🙌

This is a wonderful idea! I’m still learning how to Bible study. I want to spend time in Gods word and spend time with God.

Woah! I missed my Bible study yesterday after a 31 day streak. I was OBSESSED with the streak and so disappointed in myself that I was ruining the streak. Today I caught up and did double days in my study. But it was exactly what I needed that you reminded me that I will never be enough. And it’s about my heart… not a silly streak on the Bible app. I will definitely be shifting my intentions and recentering the way I view my Bible study!

Wow! Just looked at my screen time on my phone and it was scary. So convicting. Thanks for your encouragement. I really needed this wake up call.

I've honestly been absolutely obsessed with your videos lately. I put them on in the background while I do my arts and crafts for my notes and tip ins. I don't normally do RU-vid comments but I think I will get quite sappy and emotional with this one. For a few years, I lost my faith. When I met my boyfriend last year, I was reintroduced back into Christianity and saw it a sign from God. I never stopped believing during my stagnant years, I was just...lost? In any case, reading my Bible has come with a lot of me having to break my own prejudices. I am not "obsessed" or "strange" if I concentrate my time on my own spiritual growth and find comfort in God's word. I know He wants me to do this and can feel His spirit working through me as I become a more confident Christian and have started educating my colleagues and friends on Christianity. Since I engulfed myself in God's work, I have had so much more time to concentrate on my health, spending time with my partner and just being happy because I know He has control over my life and I can't change it. But a lot of the decisions I have been wondering about while I was away from my faith are now so easy because God has provided me with this lovely source of wisdom, knowledge and power. We who know the word of God and follow it are one people, one nation and should love and support each other. Yes, we might be scattered but we are strong and have the greatest King as our support. this is really encouraging, social media is my biggest distraction from spending time with the Lord.

I felt prompted to pray for you out of NOWHERE about a week ago, maybe a few days ago. Either way, our God is an awesome God and his helper, the Holy Spirit moves mightily. Hallelujah! 🎉🎉🎉

Just the title of this video had me going YAS! I've felt the Lord pointing this out to me-- why do we spend hours on everything else but not on the thing that impacts our life so much!

It’s crazy how I ran across this and I started to develop a good habit of Bible read it goes to show you can get so easily distracted but even if it’s a verse a day or chapter your giving some time and work your way up!

I’ve been going through this same thing and this video came at a time that encouragement was much needed! Thank you for being obedient and faithful in sharing Gods love and His word🥰

I’m doing the Bible Recap and I just started Numbers in my Bible today. Doing this helps me understand the Bible more. Now I just need to learn how to journal better and bible verse map like I’ve skimmed through some of your videos. Thank you for pouring into us sisters! God bless you and your whole family

This is a great idea. I am waking up at 2:30am in order to get my quite time and exercise in.

I LOVE this. My phone is an addiction im currently trying to break. I love the intentionality and when you spoke about not having the option and it being so freeing i so get that! If doing 3 hours of intentional studying isnt possible or sustainable. Remember how you used your phone it was in small nugget bites. So keep a Bible near by and when you want to reach for your phone reach for your Bible and count that 10 minutes

Faith. You have no idea how much I needed this. I felt like I was letting God down by not adhering to my bible reading plan and I believed it for a little bit. I'm taking a break from the reading plan and just reading God's word to focus on quality > quantity. Thank you so much for sharing your content and resources with the rest of us. ❤❤❤

Can I just say, "Those bee earrings!!!!" LOVE!! I start my morning with a coffee and my Bible reading. I don't even look at my phone until that's done. And I end my day with more Bible reading....I have a Bible on my bedside table. And any time throughout the day, I usually find more time to study the Bible. But I'm retired, so it's a lot easier than busy moms with toddlers! I tip my hat to you, Faith, and thank God for you and your videos! Love from Australia!

This is just lovely! I have a business conference next week in Nashville and I’m arriving four days early. On purpose. I’m planning to dive DEEP into verse mapping and prayer and Bible study and make the most of all that alone time. I’m so excited 🎉

This is really cool. I too have been convicted that my screen time can be too much. One option would be to carry a compact/pocket size Bible in your bag/purse. That way when you are out and about and have some waiting to do, you can reach for the Bible rather than your phone. I am still trying to work on this but admit I fail a lot. There are also Bible apps and scripture memorization apps that could provide an alternate to just scrolling. These are just some of the ideas I try to implement myself :)

Thankyou so much for this video. I have been facing some of the most destructive spiritual warfare and this really helped my perspective on many different things. You did go to school for it so that might play a part. I fall into a feast to famine binge pattern from time to time. I hate feeling rushed or being super structured with deadlines and plans. I like it to be an experience. I like the message at the end. ❤

You are such a blessing!! I think the key to this type of reading and studying is the word "challenge". My sister and I have taken the last 2 weeks and challenged ourselves to read the entire Bible, cover to cover, in 14 days... and yes, I have struggled with thinking "Seriously? Why are we doing this? Is it actually DOING anything? Is it just for pride's sake?" We have been listening and reading along for about 3 hours a day, and I have been watching your videos in other time, which just proves that I DO have "that much time" to devote to Bible study! Anyway, I am making a list of "WHY" do we read and study God's Word? I would love to hear your "whys"...you have probably talked about it and I just haven't seen that video yet. I'll keep watching....and thank you for being so real and for being an inspirationto me. I actually added a page to my Bible and made some notes about Eph 6 last night...I bought erasable pens and highlighters and am so excited to get through this current challenge (which will most likely turn into 17 days vs 14 days....so glad it's not about that!) and start digging deep. Thanks again for all you have done and are doing to edify the body of Christ!

Thanks to your videos I was convicted that I was spending too much time watching RU-vid videos and not enough time in God’s word. So almost two months ago I began studying my Bible for 1.25 hours each morning when I first get up. It has been such a blessing! But now during the day when I am taking care of other responsibilities I find myself hungry to get back to my Bible!

This actually made me think about my screentime. I might do this challenge. I saw this video about 3 weeks ago and I it made sense, So challenge excepted and downloaded yor daily bible study list and still going strong 20 days later. And now going to download your bible study bootcamp. So far its been a struggle bus for me as well. but waking up super early to get into the word makes such a big difference.

I've been very much on this same road.. and while I agree screen time needs to be cut down big time, a lot of my screen time goes into j ugh st listening to my music while I work .. This was a great reminder for sure !!

I just found your channel. This video was so helpful. My take away was that you fit in the time when you can. I like to watch youtube or listen to audiobooks instead of doing that for a few hours I can take some time away from those things and Bible study.
