You can also remove just the sunroof through the top by undoing the stoppers and a few other screws. That way you can reupholster the sunroof while the headliner is still in, although your way allows for a more thorough cleaning of the sunroof compartment.

Bought an old Saab 900 from 88 a while back since it was a car I’ve always wanted. It was in quite good shape but the headliner was completely ruined, and this video really helped when changing it. I managed to fix it up very easily thanks to this video and the result was amazing. So thanks a lot for this video, you’re a really life saver and the video was amazing

JoAnn Fabric carries headliner material up here in Vermont. I use a 90° die grinder with a medium grit scotch brite fiber sanding disc that I break in on something hard so as to ease the edge of the disc. It takes a while but this is an effective tool for removing all the old foam from the fiberglass headliner board. If the board has weak spots from rough handling it can be reinforced with a bit of polyester resin. #m Super trim adhesive has proven to hold up. It's expensive but don't skimp. Completely cover the freshly cleaned fiber board. Go a little easier on the headliner fabric or it will soak through and leave finger prints... but use enough! Super Job, steht bei mir auch bald an. Hatte etwas Sorge wegen dem schiebedach, aber nun denke ich das es doch nicht so kompliziert wir. Danke für dieses wirklich informative Video. Freue mich das es bald losgeht. Habe noch einem Tipp von einem Sattler bekommen. Unbedingt Würth Spühkleber benutzen. Alles hält wohl nicht lange. Also danke für das tolle Video
