Remember being in a Christchurch bar at around 3am watching this live and going crazy at the demolition job England did on New Zealand! One of the best backpacking experiences i had being English in a bar full of All Blacks!
altho I love watching these rerun games today we said a very fond and reluctant goodbye to a true great of the modern game Sarah Hunter what a real legend and I don't mind if you take the piss but she is every bit as good as Ritchie Maccaw she is a real player and hard as nails it doesn't matter what shirt you wear its what you do and she is as good as it gets nobody said Sergio perese. was bad did they an Italian guy that couldn't play but he was one of the best forwards in the world Sarah Hunter is a legend full stop .
Ran like a ghost in his prime, always seemed to slide through the first tackler's fingers. Replaced by Nowell who smacked into the first man and doesn't go down.
@christopher russell He Old. He has lost a yard in the last EIGHT YEARS, simple as that. Never dropped over what the football and Scottish press think of him.
New Zealand truly bring out the best rugby in teams. They are the only nation to play running rugby every game and are not afraid to kick to corner. This is why they are the greatest of all time. I hope to see many more matches like this one and the 2019 WC semi.
I was there at Twickenham Stadium and the atmosphere was incredible, the noise deafening with Swing Low Sweet Chariot sung like never before. The Kiwis in the crowd were amazing but then all rugby supporters are amazing. Watching this in Norfolk (England) for the third time as it is not often we beat the All Blacks. .
im a scot but mate, they got to the world cup final, won multiple six nations titles, beat south africa and australia multiple times and beat new zealand again?
We used to play against the tuilgai clan when they played at John Cleveland college. Manu was a monster at even 15 yo far stronger than us and we were 17/18. Insane pace and his socks couldn’t get over his calves. One of the all time best centres privilege to play against him Dominates anyone he plays against physically. Took my mate out with a high tackle first 5 mins. You just had to go low
England fan here, holy shit, the quality of that all blacks team tho... so many legends. I probably enjoyed RWC 2019 semi-final more because it was a more complete performance but the fact that England managed to beat an NZ team boasting some of the best to ever do it... great to watch. I'm never surprised when we lose to New Zealand, but always ecstatic when we win
@@michelletans687 Ah, I see you're obviously still butt hurt about it. But to answer your question... Who care's? It's got nothing to do with the result, it was a great game of rugby that a lot of fans of game would like to watch again.
A good win by the Brits.............one of a two over the last decade............as for Eddie Jones as coach of their team now......well......he's an Aussie...when will England have a good home grown coach like Clive Woodward...........he was an inspiration back in the early 2000s......and an ambassador for the game.
We've actually got an embarrassment of riches when it comes to homegrown coaches, just noone with front line international experience and a governing body that's too scared to take a risk. Plus probably the standout English prem coach suggested he wouldnt want the job, and it's hard to blame him.
Wow, 9 years later and so many of the 'ol stagers still playing for Eng. Still feel a bit sorry for Ashton as an absolute class player but was so often overlooked (or not allowed to play). Still plays well today. Thanks for the upload op.
England surpassed expectations that day. I hope they can surprise me this RWC. I doubt it - but you never know. Quite a few of the players involved in 2012 are still in the Eng team. That doesn’t bode well.
England's best win against NZ...until the 2019 semi final when we took them to pieces and left them chasing shadows. Such a pity that they didn't follow it up in the final.
What a great performance by England against the mighty All Blacks. A few of the England players are still in the squad now in 2022: Ben Youngs, Launchbury, Farrell, Lawes. Chris Ashton should have won more caps than he did.
England 🏴 *Tries:* B. Barrett, C. Ashton, M. Tuilagi *Conversions:* O. Farrell (1/3) *Penalties:* O. Farrell (4/4), F. Burns (2/2) *Drop Goal:* O. Farrell New Zealand 🇳🇿 *Tries:* J. Savea (2), K. Read *Conversions:* D. Carter (2/2), A. Cruden
@@thj6293 it was terrible from nz. Nz as soon as they were on the back foot became unwilling to build offense methodically and started to rely on gimmick plays. This all blacks side doesn't know how to win its just that the team is more talented and frankly better than other teams but doesn't have the calmness of a Wales or South Africa. The hammering to ozzy and the England game are remarkably similar even if the scoreline doesn't reflect it. Nice performance by England though of course but it's hardly some great tactical game.
@@frankvendetta9230 But NZ beat you guys in the pool, and we beat NZ in the semi, and then you beat us in the final...it's circular, we all won the RWC2019!
Thank goodness that I don't have to listen to Barnes commentate any more, does he know that there is another team on the pitch playing against New Zealand ?
Yea he was insufferable, miles Harrison not much better, but the kiwi commentators are just as bad. These days it's a lot more balanced, nick Mullins and his co commentators are great.
