Thanks a lot bro, it’s a good device. I love your DIY tape delay, in the future I’m gonna try to do something similar and I’ll ask you for advice if you are agree
Thanks for the demo. Wild that you made it sound that clear and loud while not having it saturate. I tried the new d'luxe pedal version myself this last weekend, but I just couldn't find a balance between a loud enough signal and not having it saturate. Adjusted both saturation and delay level knob, but nothing worked. Like the line level was just too hot. Tried with a Soundcraft EPM8 mixer, but mabye I should have tried my mackie mixer first before returning the unit. Though you're using a Soundcraft as well aren't you? So what did I do wrong?
yeah man, it’s a little bit delicate to obtain clear sound, I put saturation knob at 30%, level at 100% and then I increase the level on the return track in the mixer. The device has limitations, also long feedbacks are difficult to obtain. I don’t think the mixer be the problem, I have used on Mackie vlz4, A&H zed14 and Soundcraft LX7 and it works very similar
@@sergiodubgaku aarh okay. Yeah long feedbacks makes the sound duck. Yeah I learned yesterday that it actually has quite a lot in headroom for the input according to the numbers. So I guess it's just made that way. I could definetly get a clearer sound just with a device going directly into it. And when having both the short and long head turned on I couldn't really hear a doubling in the sound. I think I'll try an El Capistan instead maybe. It's not as organic sounding though, but it can make more clear delays. I already have a couple of BBD'S on my sends (using a mixer with 6 of them), so I really don't need a darker delay. I also plan to try the Meris Hedra with a Mod Rex to put after it for some interesting modulated pitchshifting delays. I see that you also have a Blood Moon. I use mine after one of my BBD's and send slightly to a bit of spring and a little more stereo reverb. I really like the spacy effect it gives me 😄
@@nym053it seems a very interesting fx combination. For delays I also have a Nux tape core, it’s cheap and decent, you can configure some parameters on pc
@@sergiodubgaku aarh yeah I had it shortly, but returned it, because I had spent little too much money. But yeah, first I thought I was clipping the input, but learned that it was inbuild saturation that I could turn off. But can't remember if the software had a kill dry. I just remember that it didn't work so well for me as send. But I liked the TD-3 straight into it at the time, which I also returned.
