I always find it funny when people say “you’re spreading misinformation”… did you not listen at all to the video? Literally cited two different well accredited media members that have and will likely continue to break news in the conference realignment (specifically the Big 12) space. I’m just giving my opinion and what we know right now. Got to love it when people don’t listen to the video 😅

Is FSU & Clemson going to want unequal revenue sharing like they’re wanting out of the ACC? If so, let them pound sand. We just got rid of a pair of programs w/entitlement issues, why would we bring in another pair with the same attitude. Plus, they’d both bolt to the B1G or SEC as soon as an offer is made which is probably the only reason they’re talking to the B12 now, just hoping it will get the big 2 to change their mind on expansion.
@TheBackTo12Podcast

It's a very fair question and point. I'd ask you this, if the Big 12 wants to push to be more than just "the 3rd best conference in America" don't they need marquee brands like Clemson and Florida State on the gridiron?

Yeah I don’t think it would be a lateral move if the $$$ is right and they’d be viewed as the “leaders of the conference”. There’s obviously a lot more to it than that, but it makes sense if certain dominos fall. Still a long way to go though

Now to all you Clemson and Florida state fans I am not bad mouthing your schools but the simple fact of the matter is they are not in the AAU

I think both FSU and Clemson have discovered some humility these past few months. Still these are better programs than OU or ut and more likely to grab a football championship. They would put the Big 12 on the same level as the sec and big10. The entire conference would have more attention and chances to move up. Question is, can we reach a financial agreement we can afford that will keep them in the running for National Championships?
@TheBackTo12Podcast
@TheBackTo12Podcast Месяц назад
Idk about that on the UT and OU front in terms of Clemson and FSU being better programs. Clemson has an argument more so than FSU in recent history. That said, it all comes down to $$$ and like you said, do they think the $$$ the Big 12 can/could give them could help them compete at the highest level. Will be fascinating to watch
@davidframe1613

Oklahoma and Texas are legendary brands. I look at Clemson as the Gonzaga of football once their coach leaves it's over. FSU will always be great because they have a good recruiting area. Back in 2012 my Mountaineers played Clemson in a bowl game and beat them 70 to 33. Just a few years later they won a national championship. Clemson was never considered great at football until then. Oklahoma and Texas have legendary histories.

@lnapjr76
@lnapjr76 Месяц назад
Why would FSU or Clemson leave one 2nd tier conference to join another 2nd tier conference? I'd think they would hold tight for the next round of The B1G and SEC movement. I just don't see what moving to the Big 12 would do for them.
@TheBackTo12Podcast
@TheBackTo12Podcast Месяц назад
@@lnapjr76 that’s very possible, but what if private equity helps the Big 12 double maybe even 2.5x the money Clemson and FSU are making from the ACC. There’s a ton of dominos that need to still fall (as I mentioned in the video), but there is undoubtedly a lot of smoke and buzz on the subject
@davidframe1613
@davidframe1613 Месяц назад
It was originally because they wanted more money and they didn't get it but now they could really make the ACC pay by losing their best two brands and the Big 12 would gain the acc's two Best brands so their contract will go up as the ACC goes down and plus most people are Petty and want people to pay if they feel they've been done wrong. FSU and Clemson kind of gets payback to the other teams by leaving them hung out to dry.
@tarheel7406
@tarheel7406 Месяц назад
@@davidframe1613 Unlikely.... a) CLEMSON/FSU would quickly depreciate and wouldn't have the lift to materially help the already fully depleted/backfilled BIG12. b) The ACC's deal is already way below market, so while ACC members would lose some gate/parking revenue, the media deal wouldn't drop.
@doodechannel4024

The Big 12 would be a better situation for them though… They’d get close to the money they would in the SEC or Big Ten if the Big 12 goes the PE route. Plus, Clemson and FSU would be “at the head of the table” and have the most say more than likely of any teams
@dfausti66

@Guknowit
@Guknowit Месяц назад
@@EuroNole UNC is just Hillbilly wannabe Stanford, and nobody likes Stanford and their fanbase either. FSU, Miami, Louisville, VT, and Pitt are all better football options. FSU folk are going to be happy as long as they're winning. Unless they play Utah, OSU, KSU, and an assumed Clemson every year in the regular season then they would have a good shot at being the next OU of the conference and dominating it for many years. Just my opinion though.
@tarheel7406
@tarheel7406 Месяц назад
@@Guknowit Nonsense.... First, UNC is a public school with a different mission than STANFORD. Second, FSU just went undefeated in the regular; do that seem happy? There is no feasible chain of events that ends with UNC i the BIG12.

@@tarheel7406 East Coast snobs = West Coast snobs, two side of the same coin.. Back to FSU. FSU admin is going to be happy as long as they're winning and making money, the latter is assumed if they come to the Big 12. They're obviously not jumping to the Big 12, unless it's financially beneficial, that's something that the ACC is unable to provide right now. My bet is that they still end up in the B1G, however there are plenty of scenarios where they end up in the Big 12. The only likely guarantee is that they DON'T end up in the SEC.. Unfortunately.

Adding FSU and Clemson would be great but paying them more money yearly with the embarrassing and destroy the conference. Now if they wanted to let them keep their money that they earned through championships and give them a buyout from the ACC that would be fine but paying them $30 million dollars more a year and then expecting Cincinnati West Virginia and UCF and other Eastern Big 12 teams to play them and expect them to win well that's not going to happen if they're getting an extra 30 million a year. As the Mountaineer fan I'm proud to be in the Big 12 but if that happens I hope the ACC uses FSU and Clemson buyout money to get West Virginia and maybe a few other teams from the Big 12. Because competing with someone making more than 30 million a year than you is going to be really hard impossible

A What If, what if Yormark could broker a deal with a Private Equity resource “AND” ESPN to bring in FSU, Clemson , and maybe 2 other ACC teams into the Big 12. With monies from the PE partner and revised ESPN deal that would either close the gap or at least significantly increase the yearly payout for each Big 12 team. Bringing in Clemson and FSU would significantly increase the Big 12’s $$$$$ value improving the ROI for the PE partner plus saving ESPN long term costs by basically killing the ACC. Yormark needs a long term solution soon or risk the Big 12 falling further behind when the Revenue Sharing $22M/school/yr. Bill that comes due starting next year.
