We can’t have it both ways. Zach Wilson is either the worst QB in the last 3 seasons or not. Winning 7 games with that QB and the most injured offensive line in NFL history is a miracle.
@njlauren

It could be Zach was a terrible QB and Hackett sucked. Zach did badly under MLF while Mike White and Flacco and Johnson played badly.

About the "without their guy" thing, a great example is Bill Bellichik. 20 years with Tom, he has a dynasty with 6 rings and tons of AFC title game wins/appearances and division win almost every year. After Tom left, 7-9 with Cam, 10-7, 8-9, 4-13 in 3 seasons with Mac/Zappe

It’s deeper than just play calling.. Being the offensive coordinator entails that a coach understands how to utilize player personal, how to identity mismatches on opposing teams defenses, how to get the most/enhance players talents and minimize their weaknesses etc. The least of my worries is him calling plays. Ironically, the play that got Rodgers injured was a play Hackett called and Rodgers didn’t like it but ran it anyway

Rodgers literally cures all... if hes in there. The narratives around Hackett and Saleh change completely. Hes 4th all time in career win %. If hes healthy and active, last years jets are no less than an 11 win team. With the talent theyve added, theyre looking at 13 wins at least if they can keep AR healthy.
@RealisticJetsFan
@RealisticJetsFan Месяц назад
Do you think other teams just don’t show up to play the Jets??? I love it how this fan base says “if Rodgers does not get hurt the Jets…… Here’s the reality and some of you just have to accept the truth. The packers did not want him. They had a great season without him. His last year playing for them was bad and don’t give me the thumb excuse. Douglas and anyone that watches AR knows his kryptonite is a pass rush. The packers always had a good offensive line. The jets had one of the worst. Douglas did nothing to improve it. Additionally, he kept ZW as the back up thinking that someone how AR have a shit to mentor him. In order to get AR here the jets had to hire a recently fired HC as OC. Had to give contacts to Boyle, Cobb and Lazard. Now we have a 40 year old QB coming off ACL. His LT and RT are in their 30’s and one has not played a full season since 2016. The best guard on the team is brittle and has not played in basically 2 years. There is no number 2 receiver as that person is also coming off ACL. Jets don’t have an adequate back up RB. The best players on the team most weeks was the FG and Punter. What is false on what I just wrote?

@njlauren
@njlauren Месяц назад
Yes you are. Saleh's record is dismal, and making excuses for a .337 record says he isn't good. That Jets had great defense and one of the worst offenses on NFL history is on him,so was not having a good backup bc he wanted to coddle Zach Wilson. Jets never had competition for Wilson, that was on him
@njlauren

Hey, BJF, look up the 72 dolphins, they had a backup in for 8 games and went undefeated. Jets had the worse offense in nfl history and saleh kept carter and hackett. Cleveland had a harder schedule, they lost hunt, they lost starting OL players. Jets had better defense than cleveland, better special teams snd their O was way better than jets w a qb signed off the street. Stefansky had callahan as his ol coach, saleh had and kept carter.

Aaron Rodgers is the best QB I have ever seen in person. That said, he’s a very unique personality and his BS is not gonna work in NY. Try telling this fan base to relax after we were forced to hire your OC, back up QB and two WR’s that are done just to appease you.
