Former US presidents retail the title for life. When referring to Clinton, W or Obama, it is appropriate and correct to precede their name with "President." That said, I have no issues with lawyers and Judge Marchan referring to him as Mr. Trump during the trial. He is not being tried as the President, after all, but rather a private citizen. Postscript: the thing that really gets me is when Republican lawmakers say things like 'I talked to the President recently, and he said..." and they're referring to Trump, instead of the current US President.
