They don't care as long as they are financially on top. They can pick and choose. If you can have a top guy for the job that respects authority (i.e. you) or one with the same qualification that fought against the police. Who would you hire? Be honest with yourself.
*Edit: Got the wrong guy, my bad. Actually he's a successful one. Kevin founded "Boston Pizza", which in the states I believe is "Bostons" or some such. Regardless, it's a massive chain of sports bars that's incredibly popular in Canada. The one by my old condo would actually have bouncers and a cover charge on big UFC nights. Fortunately the managers knew me, I was there 1-2 times a week, and knew I don't care for UFC and just wanted my food, so they'd wave me in past the waiting crowds and bouncers, no charge. When a man's business is standing room only, I'd say it's doing pretty good.

CNN News goes to O'Leary for advice about how participating in a protest will kill your career? Why not ask him about being involved in a boating accident that kills other people? His wife did not wait for police to check her for alcohol consumption, before she had a drink after the "accident"; but, that did not appear to influence her career nor his career, did it?

O'Leary didn't say the quiet part out loud, but corporate America basically wants obedient followers. This is not even a knock at them, but corporations want people who do not challenge authority. They key issue here is these demonstrators broke the law. This is no different than diving drunk or stealing money from your roommate. When it comes to hiring someone with a past that is tainted because you got involved in a demonstration where people were injured, and property was destroyed, you are at a grave disadvantage. Because there is someone out there that is just as smart and capable as you that doesn't have your baggage. Maybe he didn't go to an Ivy League school because his parents couldn't afford it (but that no longer provides the advantage that it once did.) And if you badmouth CEO's of major companies (like you just did on this venue) you won't get hired. The deep dive that Kevin was talking about will find you.
When England occupied our land, they said we broke the law, too. But we kicked their a.. out of our country. When black people tried to be free, the states said they broke the law. 95% of the students are highly educated students who are expressing their views when they saw women and children being slaughtered everyday. Those who break the law need consequences, but we can not trash the rest because of what a few do.
Funny how all these liberals talk about the harm of blackballing when they’ve been doing it for years. James Damore was fired from Google for merely suggesting there are reasons other than sexism for why men outnumber women in stem jobs. James Bennet, an editor for the New York Times, was fired for publishing an article that made supporters of BLM feel “unsafe.” The CEO of Boeing, Neil Golightly was forced to step down because someone dug up a sexist article he wrote 33-years ago. Leftists were silent then, and their defense was “private companies can do what they want.” Now they’re doing a 180-degree turn.
Disgusting. The arrogance and audacity to threaten and warn about young peoples’ futures - the corporate world worships money above all else and while they are financially wealthy, their moral bankruptcy is incredible. Life is NOT about making money. What an empty pitiful life to live. I feel sorry for anyone who believes that.
Righteous killing. The court ruled in his wife's favour. It is an offence to deliberately switch off your headlights while driving, especially when there are no city lights. The deceased had it coming
Not to stop students from attending class, not to vandalize and break into buildings, not to threaten people because of their religion or nationality and make them fear for their lives. Then the protesters deserve no mercy. No better than nazis on the march. And "constitutional right" LOL...when they burn the American flag? Imbeciles
Their constitutional right does NOT give them the right however to occupy and vandalize private property and fight with the police. Which is what he was arguing about and not about disagreeing with protests in general.

This is also true at universities. These colleges don’t care about free speech and haven’t since 2015. “Safety First” has been the approach of colleges, who bend to the whims of those most offended. In the University of California system, their microaggression training says “There is only one race, the human race” and “America is a land of opportunity” are microaggressions. MIT cancelled a climate lecture by scientist Dorian Abbot because a group of graduate students raised a fuss about one of his writings that dissent from DEI (and he was there to talk about climate change, not DEI). At Hamline University, a medieval art professor was fired for showing medieval art of the prophet Mohammed, even though they gave advance warning and opt-outs to those who might be offended. Same with a professor at St. John’s college who read the N-word in a Mark Twain book who got fired even after giving students warnings and opt outs. A young conservative named Kyle Kashuv was accepted to Harvard and then his offer was rescinded after they scrounged through his social media posts he made at age 16 that could be perceived as offensive to people of color. Also, Harvard makes students take trainings that call misgendering, fatphobia, and “cisheterosexism” abusive. And whenever conservative speakers come to campus, they are often assaulted (Michael Knowles assaulted with Lavender oil at UMKC) and professors at CSULA told Knowles his speech about the U.S. immigration system was a form of “violence.” If they want to be “safety first,” they have to do it for everyone, including Jews. Hopefully they will now wake up and allow free speech again.

This is total bs. It's like 1984 intimidation. Being involved in protests is a right and indicates that people care. Of course there is a distinction for violent acts which are by far in the minority.
