It's been two years now that my friend Mark passed away from an OD. Hard to believe it already is two years...He died a few months before the whole Covid craze. We didn't even know he was using, it all happened too fast and he never stopped working or being himself, at least not in my or our friends presence. So it made me realize how you can't always intervene even if you wanted which is horrible and how close it can strike at any time, anywhere. I mean he wasn't the typical user either, he had a regular job, plenty of friends and a happy family, he really loved and was loved by his 2 kids. No one saw it coming and I will never fully understand but we miss you man. I've learned so much from you in so little time...You were the best. RIP Mark

I live in a small community and there was a survey last year that asked constituents what their highest priorities were. Mental health and addiction treatment were #1. The sad reality is the mental health care infrastructure is completely inadequate in much of the United States. We're demonizing drug users and throwing them in prison without actually trying to address the reason(s) - like trauma history - that led the individual to use drugs in the first place.
putting them in jail a lot of times removes them from the access of drugs. A lot of people get clean after being in jail and not having as easy access to. Addressing the trauma isn't going to keep them from using and possibly overdosing. Removing them from the substance that's going to kill them is going to keep them from overdosing. Don't listen to vice. It should be clear that they hate americans by labeling keisha the fentanyl cartel drug dealer as a human services organization. Vice wants these people to die obviously. They're making this problem worse by doing actually terrible reporting. I guess by extension all of the cartel and drug dealers and human services organizations hmm??
That is just not true anymore, you are arguing a talking point from 10 years ago. Mental health care and infrastructure is not the same as help for addicts (I totally agree there is a massive deficit in accessible mental health care in the US), so assuming we're talking about addiction (although there are of course overlaps with mental health) there is more than enough help for users. They can buy and use drugs out in the open, free narcan is given out, EMS are all narcan trained and equipped, free rehab programs are available, free suboxone prescriptions are given out, free housing and halfway homes/sober living quarters are available. The issue is that the addicts aren't taking advantage of this stuff because they aren't ready to get clean. Addicts look for any reason to justify their decisions to themselves and others because their brains and bodies want so badly to continue doing it. Calling it a disease and equating it to cancer or type 1 diabetes is not only not true, but it's harmful to drug users. Human beings feel repulsion and disgust for good reason, humans who don't feel repulsion or disgust for things that are harmful to themselves and others were wiped out by natural selection ages ago. I can't see any positives that will come from continuing to normalise this behaviour that is destructive to everyone and everything. I do agree that pretty much all drug addicts become that way due to untreated mental health issues though, so agree that the only right thing to do here is focus massively on improving accessible mental health care.
It'll be interesting to see how decriminalizing small amounts of hard drugs in British Columbia helps the drug community most affected. Hopefully by humanizing the users and seeing them as worthy of the kind of help we give alcoholics.
Lmao hasn’t helped Portland much. As “wrong” as it may seem to lock up people for drugs it’s how a lot of people get clean. They always talk about “social services” but a lot of addicts don’t even use the social services when there’s no consequences for using. There’s a reason why they call the show “intervention”, most people need some sort of intervention/ultimatum
Drug addicts receive a lot of support. Narcan kits, injection sites, over a million dollars each year to the Downtown East side for decades. An advocate for VANDU has already said the amount for decriminalization is not enough. Our healthcare resources are drained from the continual calls for overdoses and people are still dying. 90 day programs are ineffective as addicts should be removed from society for at least a year in order to get their thoughts straight and get their body back to optimal health.
@@lanskandal1181 You're probably right. I think it's more that alcoholism is seen as an acceptable addiction where drug addiction is less so. Both are huge issues and everyone needs a helping hand at some point in their lives.

don't get your information for vice. they literally called a drug dealer and human services organization. If you remove these people from the ability to access the fentanyl, they won't overdose. Simple as that. They would then have the autonomy over their life once removed from the substance to make changes and heal in their life. How can someone who essentially gives another rat poison, to fill their pockets, knowing they will likely walk off and die a human services organization? Vice bears a resemblance to these "human services organizations" that's why they're so quickly to label a drug dealer as one. We will get no where by empowering drug users, because drug users don't have the autonomy over their life to be empowered. They're trapped in a system of drug use, they need to be removed from the system or the drug needs to be removed from their environment.
Amazing, eye-opening journalism and conversation. Living in Vancouver, I see the drug crisis going on everywhere, but have no idea what's actually going on. It helps bring more understanding to hear that heroin isn't available here anymore and that the drugs people are taking are way, way worse than I could've imagined. I appreciate the suggestions for policy-makers too. Hopefully this journalism will help guide policies in the right direction.
This truly is sad. Being a chronic pain patient can be difficult as well. So many are cut off of life altering opioids that greatly improve their quality of lives due to the epidemic of opioids, and sadly a large portion turned to illicit opioids to alleviate their pain. Not that I advocate prescription opioids to be heavily prescribed again, but there should be some exceptions. I like to think there is far less overdoses on pills versus the inaccurate highly potent garbage infiltrating our streets. At least at the end of the day you know exactly what is in the pills.
Do you really know what's in the pills? Did you really know what was in the vaccine? Big pharma are drug dealers too. They don't care about your health and will do whatever it takes to make a dollar even if that means being dishonest. Your trust of big pharma is scary.

It's no surprise that it revolves around capitalism. Do I know what's in a opioid pill? Yeah, whatever opioid you're prescribed along with binders to keep the pill intact. It's not some major mystery. The danger is its a synthetic derivative of a natural plant. Therefore potency is higher. You're talking about the Sackler's who outright lied that Oxycontin wasn't nearly as addictive as other opioids to boost profit margins, which in return left quite a few million addicted or dead. Whether or not you want to believe it opium has existed for well over 3000 years. Medicine serves a valuable purpose in the world. Patients just need educated of the benefits and risks of certain controlled substances if its prescribed. If you ever needed opioids for severe pain, would you rather take some mystery substance on the street cut with an abundance of toxins, tranquilizers and benzodiazepines, or take a pill that is heavily regulated and created in a lab with standards and safety precautions? Or is that too corrupt for you? Be realistic.
I lost my prescription for severe pain due to the changing policies, and ended up getting pills from a friend’s friend so I wouldn’t lose the job I was only able to perform as a result of treatment. When that ran out, I got a number for a dealer from someone. There was no other prescriber I could go to, on my insurance. At the time, (2013-16) we didn’t know about pills being tainted with fentanyl. My dependence on the pills got stronger, and sometimes I questioned why I was losing tolerance…so I’m pretty sure the pills were laced, in retrospect. I ended up being arrested and it wasn’t worth keeping my job for awhile, because I lost my whole professional career I only had 3 years work under my belt in. I, then, was court ordered to treatment, where I was in physical agony, and forced by the program to “admit” it was addiction, not physical pain, that got me using opiates. I don’t know why it was impossible to allow for the possibility that someone is in legitimate pain. I had NEVER heard of Suboxone or Methadone being used to treat chronic pain. I heard of it not from the treatment center, but from another patient. I got on MAT, but it took me a year, after treatment, to find a Suboxone doctor to continue my pain care. If my original pain physician had given me a flyer for a Suboxone/Methadone clinic when he discontinued my care, I would never have broken the law or lost my career. I think that, at bare minimum, pain physicians should educate patients about MAT and dependence. Patients lose doctors all the time and are left without help. Pain patients going to Methadone clinics still has its problems, though. When my new doctors see I take Suboxone, they have been reluctant to, or refused to, refer me for degenerative disc disease surgery I had approved 18 years ago, or bunion surgery, when the condition has progressed to pain, tendinitis, bursitis, ankle problems, and gait abnormality. They are afraid I am making up medical ailments to get opiate pills, because they see Suboxone on my med list. I beg them to read my medical record, as I have zero history of drug seeking behavior with any of the doctors I’ve ever seen. No double scripts, asking for increased doses (I’ve actually tried higher doses and declined them), doctor shopping, or unsubstantiated complaints. All of my conditions are diagnosed by MRI, X-rays, labs, etc. And a lot of doctors won’t look, or order new labs. I finally found a primary doctor affiliated with the MAT clinic I go to, though I drive quite a distance for compassionate care. This whole experience has really opened my eyes to the second or third class medical care people with addictions receive in much of the US. I’m now studying in hopes of helping to decriminalize and destigmatize people with addictions, and promote community investment and comprehensive social services, education, and voluntary treatment/MAT, instead. With pain physicians, underprescribing is as dangerous as overprescribing, in terms of addiction and overdose risk, because Fentanyl is 50 times stronger than Morphine, and ISO is 20-100 times stronger than Fentanyl. ISO is what US dealers are buying from China, now that Fentanyl has been banned for export.
To anyone else who sees this who is in recovery: keep it up! You're doing great. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Keep resisting the urges. Take advantage of any treatment or counselling options available to you. Lean on your friends, your sponsor if you have one, your family, any supportive influences in your life. Look into CBT and DBT techniques and programs. Go to a meeting if that helps you. Don't let anyone tell you that medication-assisted treatment isn't compatible with recovery - it absolutely can be. Try to stay grounded. Try to stay positive. Even when times get very hard, remind yourself that this is better than the alternative. Remember the principles of dialectical abstinence - you can plan for sustained recovery and fully commit to it, while also not letting a relapse destroy your hard work. If you relapse, or have relapsed, it doesn't make you a failure - addiction is a chronic relapsing disease. Try not to feel defeated. You **can** give recovery another chance. Remember that you have value and worth as a person, even in the darkest moments when it really doesn't feel like it. You might not be able to find it in the bleakness of active addiction - I certainly couldn't. But it's in there. I promise! Five years ago, I knew I was going to die a junkie, and probably much sooner than later. I had been strung out since my teenage years, had been to treatment and been on methadone and was never able to stick with either. I hated myself and knew with every fiber of my being that I was a lost cause. I needed my next hoot like I needed my next breath. Yet, when another opportunity to get into inpatient treatment presented itself, I decided to go for it - not because I thought it would work, but because I was simply too exhaused from the daily grind and didn't have the energy to go back to it in that moment. Now, as I'm writing this, I'm coming up on 52 months sober. It still often blows me away that I've come this far - I can't really emphasize enough how impossible this sort of outcome seemed when my journey began. I've had many, many rough days over the past four and a half years. Rough weeks, even rough months. And I've had a lot of help along the way - resources at my disposal that not everyone is lucky enough to have. But I would encourage anyone who is struggling with addiction to look for those moments when it feels like you have used up every speck of energy inside you in the quest to support your habit. There may be an opportunity to make transformative changes hidden inside them, even if it is based on nothing else but avoiding the alternative. Those moments aren't necessarily a consistent thing - they certainly weren't for me. But one of those serendipitous moments can be the catalyst for things that may seem utterly impossible right now. And for those fortunate enough to have taken those first few steps, I promise you this: whatever difficulties this process is throwing at you, they aren't as much of a struggle as what will happen if you use again. And I promise you this, as well, without knowing anything about you: you are worth continuing to fight for - now, tomorrow, a year from now, after a relapse, after many relapses, it doesn't matter. Each month of sobriety, each week, day, hour, minute, even each second - they are all something to be incredibly proud of. When I was in early recovery, I felt really stupid whenever someone told me to pat myself on the back because I had managed to go an hour or a day without using. It made me feel like a loser, to give myself all this credit for something that the vast majority of people do constantly without even thinking about it: simply not getting high. It wasn't until I was much further along in my own journey that I began to appreciate why it was so important for me to do that, and why I genuinely deserved the credit. I **did** deserve it. And so do you. Keep fighting the good fight, everyone ❤️
Living in Philadelphia and seeing how bad it's gotten I really don't see any other options other than a safe supply or safe injection sites are necessary. People are dying everyday from this tranq dope an fent mix. Like she said the dealers and users are the experts and might be able to tell you what will work best
I don't understand why the government doesn't understand that until we have good rehabilitation programs and just a better society in general to stop people from dying from "deaths of despair", suicide, drug overdoses, etc; we need to make sure that users make it to a point where they feel they can kick the habit with community help.

I will never forget seeing my friend sitting under the steps of an abandoned business in the fetal position rocking back and forth from addiction withdrawals. I was there to comfort my friend not knowing what to do to help. I was speechless after She told me the system let her down.
@@derpherp4530 we forget that we have choices in everything we do. Addiction blinds that even more. We get wrapped up in our traumas and move habitually. It’s truly a choice-disease. Accountability, self love and changing habits(including ppl, places and things) is the way out. It’s crazy how hard the choice becomes when ur wrapped up in the chaos of addiction.
yea it is an illness. I've seen my friends die and narcaned back to life. It is sad; the withdrawals are the worst but pot rly helped me with withdrawal. I used to speedball dope n coke 3yrs ago. U just gotto want it and have a strong mental
one of my best friends passed away in March from an OD. I was struggling along side him as a user many years ago and I always tried to get him to leave the hard drugs behind, but he never seemed to be able to get out of it. I think he could have survived if he was in a safe environment at the time. Really sad to have lost him. RIP
you guys are inspiring me to do investigative journalism. I'd love to work as a VICE reporter someday, I think the topics you cover hit home hard and are so important. reporting the ignored parts of the world without judgement. not just reporting but supporting as well.
You should look into how Vice reporters are paid. Maybe it's changed by now, but historically they relied on really underpaid interns for lots of reporting around the world.

The word your reaching for is "adulterant", the substance you use to "cut" your product and increase your profits. A few years ago the DEA took an interest in the adulterants found across the drug spectrum and found that literally every drug is cut with something to maximize profit. The list they published of substances used to cut the product is horrifying.

there's plenty of help, but as an addict you can't enter a program until you are ready to get clean. It's the same reason why obese people aren't allowed to get weight loss surgery unless they've already lost some weight by themselves first - because it won't work

In my decade + of... _very_ .. personal experience with all this.. in more cases than not, the dealer _is_ the user. When having to think of a scheme to keep up the ever-growing habit for years on end, the "user" also learning to play "dealer" is an extremely practical way to go, at least compared to when weighing whatever else might be an option.. At least in what I've seen.. But tbh I feel like that dynamic just doesn't fit snuggly enough in to the current Vice reporting narrative...
If you legalize the sale of heroin, how do you deal with the uproar of people who are going to see their family members ruining their lives legally going to dispensaries? How should it be priced or access regulated? And finally, and perhaps most importantly for the drug companies, do you protect the drug companies from litigation due to selling a destructive addictive drug? Other companies have been sued in the past for selling/marketing such things...

A lot of the people taking opiate derived medication are taking it because of pain linked to addiction to /withdrawal from opiates, so that is often just circular logic. Anyways, there already are prescription opiate derived painkillers.

Afghanistan was a major supplier of real heroin and if I remember correctly the early 2000s is when the opioid crisis started. Then 20 something years later we pull out of Afghanistan and real heroin is no where to be found. I’ve been clean from opiates since 2005 and I’m scared to death of fentanyl
Now you are connecting the dots.. the supply In Afghanistan got brought home by the Seckler family. Then China jumped in and switched it to research Chem opiates like Fent
Here's the scary part...for me at least. Ive been on benzos for 12yrs(prescribed) for a very bad anxiety disorder. If the pendulum swings like it did with pain killers where does that leave people who rely on benzos to live there lives? You’re most likely screwed if that’s the case. Basically everybody gets through opiate withdrawals. Benzo withdrawals will kill you an can last anywhere from 2 weeks to a year.
@Luke 078 man I really appreciate the kindness. I'm doin fine, as long as I have my alprazolam. I don't ever take more then I'm supposed to, sometimes I don't even take the second pill, but without them I will become agoraphobic. It's happened before, then I can't be a good father husband or person. I have severe social anxiety, and I don't know another way to cope and live. I'm well aware of the issues that come along with long term benzo use, and have worked with my psychiatrist for years to try and find alternative ways of dealing with it. So far theres been no other way to cope and live somewhat normally. Either way...appreciate the kind words...sincerely
@@UpstateBreezy you my friend arent wrong but very bad advice. Yes the physical addiction is real, and yes a taper is safer but I don't take high levels, only what's prescribed. I've gone a week or two without for different reasons and yes the anxiety returned with a vengeance but never felt like I was going to die. Don't think it's good to tell people they're screwed. That leaves little to no hope
@Luke 078 I happen to be in Oregon the only state that legalized psilocybin for clinical use. I wholly believe in the therapeutic benefits...done with the correct mindset, etc. Have been discussing with my therapist. Thanx again my friend

The reason it's governed is because they don't really want these users to get better. If you truly understood the evil that ran this world...and how many were involved...I guarantee most would probably start using.
Vice do some docomentry in NSW Sydney Australia about our progressive drug laws back peddling. For example in Kingscross we built an illgeal injection room (that recently got legalised due to public pressure) and the government HATES it and refuses to build more and wants it taken down. Despite it making ODs reduce by 98 percent. Also Sydney said no to pill testing, legalising weed (recreational), prescription fent or H and has INCREASED not decreased drugsniffer dogs in public. Also they said no to decriminalisation. Despite our community all wanting these safety measures in place and the next state ACT had made it legal to grow and use but NSW is getting worse and i hate living here. Even me pushing for Legalisation has made the NSW coppas target me.

I know a kid that was using, I worked with him. I saw him at the wood saw one day nodding out, couldn't keep himself awake while literally using the saw. The boss caught on eventually and let him go. shortly after that he was in a near fatal DUI car crash where he was arrested and put in jail. through jail, programs, probation and halfway houses. He was able to get and stay clean!! I have a lot of respect and admiration for this kid for doing so. I have watched my father for 30 years do all the drugs and constantly skate the system. My dad claims he could get out of anything and because of that 30 years later he has never been through the system, which they have designed primarily to REFORM criminals including drug users, that's why it's illegal. There is no empowering drug users like vice or left people say. There is only removing them from the substance until they have the autonomy to say NO.
The war on drugs ended in 2015 and since then we have seen huge huge increase in drug use and drug deaths. It's time to go back to a militant approach involving drug dealers and a strong paternal approach to drug users.
I really appreciate the journalism VICE news is doing about this topic. My sister OD'd in the summer of 2020... and if she had access to a safe supply, a safe place... she could have lived. Her slipping back into old behavior patterns, would not have killed her. She just needed REAL help, not help that only looks good on paper for some constituents that want to feel like they are doing the moral thing. The worst part is, it's like the killer is still out there and there's no justice.
thank god i missed this wave i went thru the fetty wave from doing H which is scary enough but benzos/fent is so fuckin dangerous of course fent is dangerous but mixing two downers like that your respiratory slows down sooo much. The one and only time i did OD was doing a 20 of dope after taking a bunch of bars over the weekend and i had 3 narcans and shock paddled. i pray these people can find the path to recovery its way better on this side ive been happy and realize my potential/worth and have been able to for over a year now thank god
During the interview with James Carroll, i found the questions aimed in a more accusatory format. It’s clear that fentanyl is a very dangerous substance, cutting off the largest supply seems to be logical in any applications. If your water pipe burst in your home do you try to seal them, or do you go to the water main and shut it off? Large networks like the Cartel have and will always find new ways to supply as long as there are people invested in using these substances. I feel the administration’s attempt to slow down the crisis was aimed well and those questions were aimed at blaming them for the current situation.
the cartels work with banks for laundering - the banks have a lot of power to prevent the type of thing you suggest.. the cartels are a much larger industry than you might think- the "elChapo" canard is just a cover- they are big business
They were not blaming but simply stating the outcome of his decision. What if by shutting of your water main unknowingly the extra pressure build up ended up poking a pinhole in the main that supply's your neighborhoods water, which now has caused a larger problem because you were only lookin at the problem from one angle. The root of the problem is the people driving and making policy do not live nor see the actual human element of drug abuse. For this reason any Drug Policy and Punitive Enforcement will never have a positive outcome. That is all they are saying not blaming Mr. Carroll but highlighting what happens when you put in place a policy you feel is good for a community you exclude from the conversation.
Excellent reporting. I watched the doc just the other day but I love the commentary on what exactly was happening. I get the impression that all of you care about this crisis simply by humanely showing what is going on in EVERYONE'S neighborhood. I'm going on 2 months clean and coming off of fentanyl was the WORST, and I've come off regular pills and heroin. Those were a cakewalk compared to this synthetic demon. In 2016 I was poisoned with fentanyl at a bar. Someone dropped it in my drink while using the bathroom. I woke up 3 hours later from crashing my car. No one believed me. Even when I went to the hospital the next day, I had to beg to be tested. Even after the police got the report of opioid overdose they still charged me with DUI. Never investigated my attempted murder. Every day is a gift, but these videos trigger my anger. How many people have to die before we act.
@@Skateandcreate9 it was a wealthy area. It was more of a restaurant with a bar. That was across the street from my house. The only reason I can think of that I drove is, In my unconscious state. I needed help and was heading in the direction of the hospital. There was a witness, who saw me crash full speed over a median. Head against the window eyes closed. And just kept going. Not stopping until the front of the car went under the wheels.
When you mix opioids and alcohol you get really sick like vomiting a lot even an expiernced user. Even a sip of alcohol would cause you to throw up especially since you're saying you don't use. IDK?
It's expensive and risky to ship across oceans, always has been. A lot of h in the US has come from Mexico in the past few years, for that reason. The cartels went into fent because it's simpler; no farming, less processing, easier to source precursors. So your line isn't as straight as you'd hope for.

Treating the drug epidemic one drug at a time will never solve the problem as more drugs and cocktails evolve from that. If the root of the individuals problems were better understood and support provided then communities would be better equipped to heal themselves
It really sucks that they’re adding benzodiazepines to strong opioids. People want to get off so they go to a fresh start clinic for methadone/suboxone and they have to worry about benzo withdrawals aswell.. really hard to kick both at once
I dont always agree with Vice's p.o.v. but this was the best episode to show that the war on drugs only creates more death. Regulating things that people will do at any cost WILL SAVE LIVES AND STOP RUINING OTHERS! Stop the war on drugs! GOOD JOB YOU GUYS.
Vice is hands-down, without a doubt the most real journalism I can find right now. A lot of that seems to be because the journalists themselves care, they not only find the story interesting in its storytelling aspect but the understand the gravity of the situation, and they recognise the humans they're reporting on and they just get how a lot of these people are just doing the best they can. Keep it up, stay real.
You're literally doing retrospective pieces on people's narratives for people who have names - and you are calling them characters! You just got meta bro. Reporting on caring while not caring. ;(

Vice is operated and run by the same dark overlords that are responsible for introducing drugs to societies. Their docs are actors and believe me when I say this...they re is NO good intention in what they release.
Has the existence of prescription drugs made the addiction crisis better or worse? That is legalized drugs so please explain how legalization of all drugs would make things better.
Find it really jarring to hear vice on the one hand talking about how "real and human" their presentation is while in the same breath referring to the very real people who are the subjects of the piece being referred to as "characters". I understand that it's likely an industry standard term but perhaps it's not the most authentic word to use. It makes the whole thing feel a lot more... disingenuous than it may actually be.
Drugs and druggies are NOT victimless. All along the drug route, people are destroyed, families devastated. How about talking to a mother in Central America or Southeast Asia who has lost a child to the gangs along the drug route. Or how about the child that is sex trafficked by the same gangs profiting from drug $. So, druggies have a direct connection to the worldwide misery caused by drug use.
That is the fuzziest bit of logic I have seen in a long time. Assumption + suppositions = this conclusion : "So, druggies have a direct connection to the worldwide misery caused by drug use". Keep your day job mate.

@@peterhardie4151 So, it's not about supply and demand? If there were no politicos there'd be no misery, drug use would end? And what about family members of the drug users, parents, siblings, and children?
I have heard parents wish their kids would get clean, and other parents who wish their kids were not harming other people anymore to the point they wish their kid was dead. And still others that brought their kids up in the drug world, use with, and have them deal for them.
I am not sure when they filmed this interview ( of the interviewers ) - but one of the subjects of the documentary - the young white guy snorting the red pill and passing out on the table - was found in a park - dead - a couple of months later. AND in his interview he predicted he wouldn't live much longer - and seemed to accept that as his destiny. ALL drugs need to be legalized - regulated - taxed and controlled - WITH funds going to addiction programs to help addicts etc . .

No sympathy. You know you’re taking illegal drugs. You know the dangers of legal drugs. It not a crisis. It’s people who believe their entitled to do whatever they want with no consequences.
Seeing all these reports of counterfeit meds, I feel lucky I got out when I did. I started by snorting a 5mg perc, split between 3 people. Fast forward 20yrs, I was mainlining hydromorphone/dilaudid. As stupid as it sounds, I strictly stuck with either the dilaudid (using a needle) or Oxy, either Oxycodone or OxyContin (always snorted). I had 3 different dealers I could get exactly what I wanted, straight out of the pharmacy bottle and never had to worry about getting a counterfeit pill. I live right along the Canadian border and the US OxyContin supply was chemically altered to try and cut back on abuse, but we always find a way. Canadian OxyContin was still the original chemical make-up. For the last several years of my using, I wasn’t using to get high, I was using just so I wasn’t sick because I was a high functioning addict, holding down 2 jobs and I thought had everyone fooled. Luckily I found the woman that basically saved my life, she knew the signs because she was also an addict that had got out. In my mind I knew what I needed to do but the stigma kept me from doing it, but when she confronted me and laid out the deal, I was either getting help or I wouldn’t see my kids. October I’ll be 7yrs clean.
@@chelseaduncan239 ENDO 602 That’s was was printed on the pills, pretty certain they’re 5mg of the actual “narcotic” then probably 250-500mg of what I’d call “buffer”, most likely acetaminophen. Not entirely sure they still make them, it’s probably been at least 15+ yrs since I’ve actually seen an “ENDO”. There was another 5mg perc (not sure if I’m using that “perc” correctly, that’s the slang I’m used to) which had the numbers 54 543…decided to Google the numbers, apparently they’re called “ROXICET”.
