I really love your videos like this, legit feels just like hanging out with a friend 💕 thank you for being so open with us! Your mum is also so sweet and made me laugh. More chattie videos like this would be lovely 🙏🏾💕
The volume is perfect to answer your question! ahhhhh again I adore your videos, they make me feel like home ! Please never stop your content. I feel like I’ve known you forever. I’ll give you a personal plant shop tour if you ever come to Canada haha! Also sending you lots of positive energy for your new place ☺️ xxx
You are very brave reporting and carrying her up the stairs to put her in her new spot. She is absolutely beautiful you deserve two thumbs up 👍👍for this one great job.
I think you will struggle to get her on a train, especially if it gets busy and people bump into the leaves! I would hire a lorry if someone can drive it and transport her that way, probably laying down with the top of the pot taped up and supports around the pole to keep the leaves safe.
This is EXACTLY what I'd do too. Just wrap and tape the pot up as tight as you can and lean her in whatever you can find to transport her in that's long enough😬🤞 I totally agree that I wouldn't trust her being squished up with loads of other people on a train...Good luck!🤞🤞💚
You should have your own series on the BBC or ch 4....total expert. Totally engaging..and so so satisfying as you tackle each plant issue. Lovely stuff. Thank you. 😊
I just discovered your channel and watched this video. It was perfect in every way. I enjoyed it so much that I didn’t want it to end. From the living room to outside with your mom and then on to the hall just added to the charm and made your video stand out in the crowd. I can’t wait to watch more! ❤️
I really loved your videos and the way you interact with your audience it really shows how passionate you are in what you are doing and that energy that you radiate is very inspiring 💚💚🍃 goodluck on your moving day! Hope your var monstera would be happy 😊🪴
Claire, could you wrap it up with cotton and cardboard, rent a moving truck, (UHAUL)and lay her down in the enclosed moving truck, with all of your other plants as well?
That is a beautiful plant and it's a big job repotting. I lost my Pink Princess mother plant but got cuttings. I'll upload a video of it later this week. Happy Gardening 🌿🌱☺️🤗
@@TheJungleHaven So did I hahah. I stopped looking at plants online and in store for about a month and then just dropped $150 online and $50 in store! haha
Hello lovely! Could you hire a small van and secure the monstera with the rope hooks specifically for moving? I've seen that done before, especially for people who need their plants secure. A small van will offer a higher clearance so you wouldn't have to worry about it being squashed on the top or placing it sideways 🥰 x
She looks great Like a Queen !! If you a renting a truck to move out, put her in the tallest box you can find or build it yourself with cardboard, And it helps to place it in a taller pot too.. I moved in April With 250 +plants and all made it... Drive very Slow too!! Good luck!!💚🪴🌵🌱
I think there's some truth in that, but I've found that the occasional trim, and then making sure the remaining a.roots have lots of moisture and nutrients still keeps the plant going strong 💚
Popped this on while I did some plant chores of my own and picked up my calathea mosaica just as you asked "what was the last plant you killed" and found it has root rot 😂
Hi Claire, have you propagated a dischidia oianthe? Have you any tips for me if you have. Tried twice quite recently in orchid bark and sphagnum moss, but failed both times. 🤨 Great video by the way 👍🪴
I've actually never owned that plant, but just by looking at it, my gut would say sphagnum moss is the way to go... Just googled it and I know it says to simply lay the plant on top, but I'd personally submerge it (several nodes to be on the safe side) and keep it somewhere fairly warm (making sure moss always stays damp), humid and light 💚
@@TheJungleHaven thank you, going to give it another try 🤞. I have to be honest and I think I let the cuttings dry out too much 🤔. If they take I will let you know. I love mine ❤️
My husband has a RU-vid channel and uses a microphone and I honestly thought you had one! You might just have a nice talking voice and it carries/projects well. Maybe, when you make videos in your new location-the room’s acoustics might not be as nice as this one where you normally record in. But so far, had me fooled and I thought you already used one ;)
I think you could try temporarily de-polling the Albo and loosely wrap the vines in a circular motion inside the pot that way you may be able to carry it yourself or still get a friend to help you. The pole can be carried by hand or broken down if not glued together. I use soil ninja products also. The worm castings are fantastic but find their shipping price quite expensive.
Ooooh I don't know if I could do that (I'd be too scared of accidentally snapping her). I think hiring a long van is going to be the best bet... EEEEEP! 💚
I'm not sure if you can drive or not since you mentioned the train. But it's maybe an idea to hire a van (you could always ask a friend to drive it or hire a man with a van) and then transport a lit of your plants in one go. If you get a big enough van you could lay this monstera down and secure it that way.
Considering how long the internodes are, I would honestly just cut it in half and propagate the top to make a fuller plant. Monstera grow so fast anyway, it'll get back to the same hight in no time. It might encourage more variegation in the new growth as well, making it a win/win/win situation.
You should get in touch with Kat from Adansonnia channel. That happened to her on several of her anthuriums and she apparently chopped all the roots off and put them in water and they are all doing very well...so far.
I love your videos and energy. I feel like your audio, and video for that matter is just fine! I dont think you need to/should spend money on more equipment right now. You're doing great and I can hear and see you loud and clear !🤗
I hate to say it but I think it would be far better to chop a few feet off her to transport her safely than risk having an accident en route. You may be able to lay her down if you get a long enough van but its still risky and she's definitely too big for the train. Chop and prop and soon you'll have two 10 feet tall monstera
I just don't think I can do it haha. I'm thinking renting a long van and driving soooooo carefully (even if it takes me hours to get there and I have thousands of cars trundling along behind me) 😂
Hey Can l Please ask where you get the Liquid Fertiliser that you use,? The Gold Leaf fertiliser, or do you have a link for it..? I'm in Australia & would love to order some... Thanks. xxx 👍❤🪴🙂🇦🇺🐨🦘
So I get it off their website www.liquidgoldleaf.co.uk but I'm pretty sure they have retailers worldwide. If you're on IG you should drop them a message, they're lovely and super helpful 💚
I'll usually give it away or swap it for something else that I've been wanting. It doesn't happen very often to be honest - I get so emotionally attached to my plants haha 💚
Have you considered growing carnivores like Nepenthes for example? Nepenthes make great hanging basket plants, and they'll eat what bugs in your house.
I absolutely love carnivorous plants, but don't actually have any in my collection at the moment. My friend bought one when we went plant shopping over the weekend, and I think I may need to grab some for myself soon 💚
I would love to have a monstera but my mother would say no. Especially when she learns of how big they get; she'll toss it in the garbage. She is always about SPACE, SPACE, SPACE!!!
Love your videos, & the sound is Great. You don't need a microphone, it would just be a waste of money. That you could use to buy more plants with... 👍❤😁🇦🇺🦘🐨🪴
