3 types of procrastination 1. Classic Procrastination - consciously procrastinating something 2. Creative avoidance - subconsciously creating things for yourself to do so you can do those things and feel productive but it’s really a scheme to distract you from the thing you know you have to do 3. Priority dilution - your attention shifts to less significant but more urgent tasks

Hard and meaningful, choices can be hard but fruitless. Identify what matters the most and brings the most results and maximize that.

@@PandemoniumGameDev I have never made a hard choice that was either not beneficial to myself or someone else. Anyone can talk themselves out of “doing” by simply using justifications. Or numb themselves with drugs and alcohol to avoid the inevitable. A person that takes initiative is more in balance with “what needs to be done” regardless of how much work one needs to invest to accomplish the plan. May ALL the fruit from your hard work benefit you. Even if for another person, you still benefit one way or another. If not, change priorities.
@PandemoniumGameDev

@@nancycrisman7496 not saying you should avoid hard work or hard choices. But as you said sometimes you need to step back and analyze your priorities, in some cases doing the hard thing maybe less productive than switching focus to something that yields more results, happiness etc.

This ranks as one of the most important personal learning experiences that I have ever had "in one sitting". It allowed me to unify a lot of my life milestone events and experiences in an multi-faceted approach to acheiving all types of success in my life. In terms of reflection on my life (I am 72 years old) accomplishments in some areas and "failures to thrive" in other areas, it has allowed me to understand how and why those events and outcomes turned out the way that they did. I really do appreciate your podcast and your choice of how to spend your life inservice to others while acheiving your own personal success in the process!!!

The only people saying this, is actually people who can't stay in place for 5 minutes...like they have a worm in their butt... lol... No, the truth is, exercising is not giving you more energy IN THE BEGINNING. But if you stick to a good routine every day, your mind with start be quicker, and you will feel more positive, that, in chain, will make you feel more energetic and encourage you to pursue doing it more! That's why it is so tough at the beginning... you force yourself but you fell no benefit, only discomfort. Most people don't have the focus necessary to maintain this level of commitment, unless their health is falling apart, which is a very bad time to start... So, don't wait untill your health is low, start today and STICK TO IT. In time, you will feel the NEED to do it. Don't do it for other people. Do it for yourself. Be selfish with this... You deserve to do it for yourself...

Absolutely brilliant term and I bet millions of people do this. You helped me put a name to what I already knew was one of my flaws. I am so grateful. I am going to start today looking for and identifying this phenomena. When my creative avoidance surfaces, I will call it out and double down on embracing the boredom and discomfort of completing the task as a form of character building. @@punanny123 Have you not ever heard of Paul Simon's classic song _50 Ways to Leave Your Lover_ ? 🎧😉🎵💽 On the serious side, though, I think if you wanted to badly enough, you would do it, pronto! For instance, let's say that you're in a marriage where you're being severely abused both physically and verbally by a spouse who has deep psychopathic tendencies. 😳 I bet that you would be out of there, FAST, and then miraculously attract 🧲 ways to legally cut ✂️ that umbilical cord, in record time! 🏎️💨 So it sounds like you need to create a sense of urgency 🚽🪠 for yourself. I'm assuming there is no fear factor to motivate you, so your basic instinct for survival doesn't seem to be activated. It's therefore too easy to settle for a so-so existence because there is no severe front-end pain involved. However, this doesn't mean the bigger pain isn't waiting for you at the back-end of the entire ordeal. 🌒 As the iconic Fram filters slogan goes, "You can pay me now, or pay me later."🚦🚗 And also, as the timeless saying goes, "You can run but you can't hide." 💀😱 Personally, I think it would be a big help to sit down and make a list of reasons WHY you need to part ways. What are your motives for ending the arrangement? Putting those motives to paper will transform into the motivation that you need for moving forward with your life. BTW, you must make sure that you write your "Why's" in positive terms. For example, you want the *_freedom to_* (which is positive) but NOT *_freedom from._* (which is negative). This is because whatever you write down will likely manifest AGAIN in your future life experience, due to the surprising power of the law of attraction. Speaking of which, there is only one big caveat with all of this. If you have any understanding at all about the law of attraction, you should already know that "you take yourself with you wherever you go". This means that whatever is in your vibration, regarding the unpleasant things about your marriage, if you don't find a way do the "inner work" required to clean up 🧹 your vibration, you'll eventually find yourself in the same pickle 🥒 all over again, on down the road. 🛣️ I wish you good luck. 🌿🍀💚

I'm SO glad I listened to this. I appreciate how the host asked the question about, "focus" and how to stay focused, when "life" happens.... meaning-stress from uncomfortable change and how do we stay focused on the other things that need our focus when someone has died or family gets sick or .... the world goes through a p (l) andemic and EVERYTHING changes as the truth rises. So.... he says - the show must go on kinda things... but, tbh, I've had the hardest couple of years of my life and I was actually wondering if someone can die, from so much stress. So, "FOCUS" was NOT on my mind and in fact was very very difficult to commit to, under such stressful situations. Is there something "wrong" with me? Am I stupid? Am I too sensitive? Am I too emotional? Do I take life too personally and lose myself to outside circumstances? HOW do you stay focused on the work that needs you? Only survival will get you to "focus" because our brains are NOT wired for success... it is wired for survival. SO - to "focus"-it must be about survival... OR you MUST change and grow out of the old ways that are sabotaging your success.

Each time I listen to this, I am, once again, awed at how many powerful truths and practical and readily applicable recommendations are presented in the short interview with Rory. Also, what a powerful way to reset one’s perspective and thinking when they swerve into the rut of negativity once again.

Oh my Lewis! I waited to get my teeth fixed and now I’m already 45 and my mouth is still a mess. My front teeth have chipped and I’m missing molars and need braces so bad! My issue has been money, I have children and not employed for a ling time ... also cause the teeth became an acumulated problem permeating many areas of life, my self esteem, my neck muscles, gives me tense neck, and including higher chances for better incoming and follow my dreams, to be like you for example, because of not being able to smile as I’d love too! :( - I’ll take this talk to heart!

Have u considered implants? They are getting cheaper and work w you. I wanted invisaline and discussed this w my dentist. She wanted to fix my one crown I had done by doing an implant. Cost 5K geez! After all done, I said now we can start the invisaline! No, you can’t budge the implant ,it’s in with titanium! Sorry…. Errrr

These videos changed my life in this moment!!!! Thank you Lewis and Rory and Brandon! I needed to hear that our brain is wired for safety. Omg!!! I may have heard it before but finally got it. I also realized I had a belief from listening to Abraham that “don’t do anything until you feel like it or feel the impulse or joy to do something.” Because maybe things will go wrong if you’re not in “alignment.” That may be true too that maybe better things happen when you’re aligned in joy vs. just doing it even if you don’t feel like it. What I got from this is - when you have clarity of your deepest desires and have and set clear intentions - the rest is executing, even when it’s uncomfortable!!! Oh it’s so gorgeous! Thx!!!!

I guess that’s about what I have been trying to say for a few years I just couldn’t get that lu greatness on it to sound that good.. your service is your rent to the universe . I tell the people I try to help whatever it is that you want BE THE SOURCE. If you want more money give more money, you can have anything you want as long as you know what you want. I try to help anyone in my town that’s struggling with addiction or homeless and just need a little hope I give a free year rent in one of my rentals I keep the water and electric paid. They can work for me whatever you want to do to get back in there feet. We always say it’s a hand up not a handout.

Maybe you just need to realize you are smart and beautiful too. And even if you weren't, you would just need to figure out how to use that in your favor. There is a lot of content from people who know how actually made it on RU-vid, so I'm not that qualified to speak and you should listen only to them. But, well... beauty and wit doesn't seem to be the keys to success here. So, reconsider what you do, find your keys, and use them. Good luck at taking these stairs :)
