love the setup, i have a leopard gecko that lives in my room, I can't imagine that many animals, but you make it work ssssooooo well. I hope i can get many more animals in the future!

This is the organizing skills I need. I currently have one reptile shelf packed with a 40 gallon, 10 gallon, 10 gallon, 5 feeder insect breeding bins, and random reptile stuff. I want more reptiles eventually so I am going to have to become a master at playing tetrus with tanks. Lol

Literally whenever I was board I would draw out my room (measurements and everything) and play enclosure tetris to see what enclosure upgrades I could make room for 😂

@@griffindran9158 In my bedroom I have 3 snakes, 7 geckos, a Cuban false chameleon, pacman frog, and red-eyed crocodile skink. In the rest of the house there are 5 more snakes and a leachianus gecko.

Thank you! It’ll be weird when I have a reptile room someday having them away from me, but it’ll be nice to be able to crank up the ac in the room without worrying about them 😂

It looks beautiful and I can’t wait to see how you reform the room at your new house. I am a new RU-vid follower… and I have you on Instagram. Fabulous stuff here thanks for all the information in the video. I do have a little question for you. I am only a mother of nine reptiles and out of those reptiles I do have an African fat tail that I noticed you have one as well. Now I feel bad because I do not have any lights in his enclosure. I’ve had him for a couple of years and since he is such a hide lover and barely ever out he’s just in his humid hide or his warm hide and he is up against a window but I’m trying to figure out how they’re supposed to get the UVB rays when they never come out, so I’m wondering if I should put one in or not. hope I am making sense🤣

Oooh I so need that hygrometer/thermometer multi readout thing do you have a link? I have magnetic ones stuck all around and this would be so much easier for monitoring. I, too, live in my bedroom with all my pets since I had to love with my mom. It’s me and 27 reptiles plus the 15 tarantulas. I also have an axolotl but she’s in the cellar because it’s colder and a dog that doesn’t live in my room. Yours is much more aesthetic/organized than mine!

I built the enclosures for the lizards! My corn snake is in a pvc from a company that went out of business (the enclosure is very poor quality)

I got them from Amazon! Unfortunately you can only use one set at a time. When I tried to set up more they all interfered with one another

Amazing Room Love all your Reptiles ZA Reptiles such beautiful Setups totally blows my mind how you and others do such crazy amazing setups I only have 6 reptiles and their setups really don't hold a candle to you or others :(

omg thank you so much! That really means alot! Its been many years of learning and trial and error to get to this point! My biggest recommendation is to find some examples that you like and then do some research on how to achieve it and then just go for it and see what you can create! 😁

Your iguana and tegu should be in a bigger enclosure I keep big reptiles anything from big lizards to hugh snakes and some other species other then that everything looks fine they are putting restrictions on iguanas and tegus 6x2 is fine for a adult boa

I talked about their enclosure sizes and upcoming building plans in the video :) Restrictions on those species are actually not happening in my state. Most other species like large snakes and monitors have already been banned here for many years :) I definitely dont think 2” deep is enough for my boas personally. Right now im leaning towards 6x3x3 or 6x3x4 so that they have the opportunity to climb should they so choose :)

Did you customize all those enclosures backgrounds with the rocks and such?! They are all so beautiful! Please drop a recommendation on those terrariums (like the one your beardie is in)! I would love to have some stackables like that, just not sure how the lighting would work!

Thank you! Yes I did make all the backgrounds with the exception of my rainbow boa and milk snake who have backgrounds from custom reptile habitats 😁 The stacked enclosures that the lizards are in my dad actually build, so I have a couple of videos from those last summer 😁

I live in my friends basement with 2 snakes 2 leopard geckos and I just got a baby crested gecko. You can make it work I just started saving money for a house as well hopefully my goal is to have my own reptile room one day but I like having my animals close bye ❤️

I dont recall the size off the top of my head other than its 3’ tall and roughly 2’ deep 😂 I def would recommend something much bigger than mine though! I would aim for atleast 3’ in depth

I wouldn’t recommend that one as it was smaller than I had envisioned, but she’s currently in a bigger one in a different room now until we find a house. Then I will build her her permanent enclosure. I would recommended getting something atleast 3’ deep for sure!

do you turn on the AC when you sleep at night in your reptiles room ?

We have central ac and heat, so we can control the temps. My room naturally stays a bit warmer because of the reptiles, so we usually have our ac set to 74ish and my room will be about 75-76ish. Every now and then it’ll drop to lower 70s but a night time drop is natural :)

no I dont keep or feed crickets now that I breed dubia roaches :) Occasionally I’ll bring some home with me from work for variety, but I dont keep them myself anymore

They are fish tanks converted with I heart geckos conversion kits. Exo terra also makes large front opening enclosures :)

I completely understand the intent to upgrade but "upgrading eventually" is not how you keep reptiles. When casual pet people get a baby bearded and put it in a 20 long the reptile community jumps down their throat about how they should have gone with at least a 40 gallon or just started with a 4x2x2. But when pet youtubers get large animals and don't have the space for them when they get them its fine because "They know they need to upgrade" even when those upgrades take years to come to fruition.

We all upgrade and grow as the hobby and information changes and grows. Doesnt matter if you are a casual keeper or happen to film your life. Also keep in mind you are commenting on an old video. I get what you are saying though and to an extend I agree. “Upgrading eventually” can be how you keep reptiles if you are starting from your average starting point with the intention of continuing to do better. Like most keepers I’ve started with the “minimum standards” for my animals and quickly learned that I don’t like or agree with a lot of the minimum standards and strive for more. A lot has changed since this video- especially since I was only temporarily living there thanks to the pandemic. Thanks for your comment and input
