Brian O'Meara's absolutely stunning F-84F Thunderstreak experiences a flameout during a flight at the Warbirds and Classics Scale Event in Las Vegas last fall. This award winning model was built from a Phantasy in Blue kit imported from Holland, and powered by a JetCat 200 turbine engine. Despite the in-flight emergency, Brian was able to successfully land the plane, with the help of his longtime spotter and crew chief Wayne. Kudos to both for a job well done!

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen one of these jets. The artwork is beautiful.(ghost shades of boob👍) The jet carried a lot of speed through the turn, Brian landed it smoothly. I'm sure all those involved are glad it didn't flame out while going vertical!😀. Really is a nice big jet. AirHammer out!!

Hey bro!!! Yeah, I really liked the nose art as well (could you tell, I zoomed in on it 😜!) and the jet itself is master quality....just a work of art. Did you hear Wayne calling out for gear, air-brakes, etc.? That's a longtime team right there, and they demonstrated cool under fire (or without fire!) that day...very good job done by all. @@JustwingitRC I'm an old soul, I don't like the new stuff that we have today. An average Cessna 182 has G1000 LCD screens. It's not just Cessna, It's the whole world of Aviation. I'm a fan of Analogue needles and dials. But the weird thing is... I'm not and elderly man, I'm a younger person saying that! Most young people go with whatever is seen on the market, not even bothering to find an older aircraft.
