Hey PQ it was me who suggested you the build on the other video! Thank you for featuring this build it’s my bread and butter build now. So much fun! In my final build I removed the legendary mod for the extra range and also take off Furious for FP. She’s so good now.

In addition; addition: They also usually changed up the play style and experience of the ship after playing for a while grinding those missions. Gamer move from when WG wasn't run through the accounting department.

They may as well just go full arcade and be done with it at this point. Just give everything fast firing guns, super speed, and fast rudders. I'm really ready for another company to create a slower, more balanced/historical warships game similar to how WoWS tried to be early on. I really wish Navel Action (yes I know, sailing ships) stayed with a brawling pvp mode, it had the perfect balance of things.

I've tried it and it's helluva fun. In my version i dumped the "Furious" skill for manual secondaries and instead of the "Aiming systems module" i'm using the secondaries range mod. Brisk also works nicely with Republique because you can reach an impressive 37 knots speed with the boost and flag

What you get is a natural cruiser killer. Great speed and reload to catch cruisers at flanks. French secondaries also have a high fire chance, making it quite an effective brawler.

BalanS, and people still whine "it only has 8 guns" like that 1 single extra shell makes any difference when you have broken dispersion with better reload then some cruisers

I tried brawling a repub in my gk and I swear he was running a build something like this. I tried to get my back guns in to the fight but he always reloaded before I could swing the back turrets out.

That’s probably me, I was running around (literally) a full HP GK and she was struggled to swing the guns around and I just drill 8 shells into her hull every 15s which is hilarious af. Got out of the brawl with 50% HP left. Against a freaking GK lol

Republique and its younger sister Gascogne , two of the best kept secrets in the game IMHO . If you go with a 2ndry build they can match the German BBs in terms of range. Tends to make enemy ships panic. Remember your 2ndry guns do Not need to pen to start fires.

Thanks for the build recommendation. Just tried it and at the first match I've got a kraken with 6 kills. Try combining it with brisk, which with the speed boost and flag you can reach an impressive 37 knots speed. Perfect for flanking cruisers and catching them with that monstrous reload.

I think you can do the exact same with Thunderer, right? I an not completely sure. Now, there you trade the amazing shell speed of Republique for more accuracy. Also you get british fckin HE shells.

Just made this build today! Such a fire build first game 130k dmg 2nd 105k dmg 3rd game 200k damage!! Such a fun easy ship to play! Just like the Kleber it’s a VERY FUN easy to play boat

Yeah, when PQ talks about him being the only one BB in that game. Its hard to get 5 BB games even if i play a BB myself(except late night or at dawn, there are usually more of them around that time) I did not play DDz for some weeks because of this. I play DD, i get 5 DD, 2 BB games. Frustrating shite

I had unique mod as Republique was my first T10 , but 2018 that mod was useless for me as I had style of playing and having 26km range was fun , you can erase crusers with no problem , and -24% to range that was bad deal , and I needed credits to buy out ship , so I sold , and only this update made this mode great ,and now I have some regrets , as I have J.J Honore , and i have secondary build , so this module would made difference in my strategy of playing Republique , but getting it is just one x2 regrind .

Dislike the heal/potential dmg skill, but might end up taking it over the Fires-Reload, with the Consumables Reload on the extra point. Horizontal dist. consistent enough on main battery I like putting into the secondary range mod.; thing’s a ridiculous fire starter

That is for Close Quarters Combat which gives you 10% reload buff on your main battery guns when any enemy ships gets spotted in your secondary range.

Where do you get the low Vert from? every site that has data says the opposite. Wowsft shows it having the highest at tier 10. Still my favorite ship though.

Repub is my go to Tier 10 BB. Such a fun ship. With engine you also has great mobility - meaning you can grap chances and break flanks.

Your videos on République makes me interested in grinding the line, I'll try it but I've heard it's quite painful until the tier 8. Also, is it true that the game engine prevent the turrets to be fired "pair by pair" (2 shells then 2 shells, like how the French quad turrets were used) and also having only half of the turret disable instead of the whole turret (like in real life)

The french line is a mixed propostion. The guns are innaccurate, are generally low calibre so poor overmatch opportunities, and the projectiles really fast and thus overpen all the time, so you end up getting trolled a lot by your own ship. On the plus side, the pen's generally good vs other BBs over range - and they tend to have a lot of barrels depending on their tier (8 and 10 being exceptions). Bretagne's fine, but unexceptional. Normandie's really meh thanks to the guns. Lyon's a bit of a meme ship because of the insane number of guns - I found that the number of guns didn't make up for how unreliable they were. Richelieu's fine if you understand positioning, as you have enough speed with the speedboost to position around team-mates' misplays. Alsace I hated first time around; but after regrinding the line and improving my sense of positioning she became one of my faves where her mobility, armour, and sigificant broadside weight just clicked. Each quad turret works identically to conventional 3-barrel turrets.

I love the Richelieu, I quit the game, but I loved flanking with it. At t8 you get more options that you don't have at earlier tiers for the FR line: Has 380s (all front facing) (prior to it, you get 340s) 32 kts max speed without speed boost Speed boost (starts at t8) Great range at its tier if fully upgraded (25km)

One of the things that is getting more and more annoying to me in this game is the crazy fast reloads with any of the ships. High tier is just a mess, especially as a BB, as you can suddenly get hundreds of rounds fired at you in minutes as soon as you are within 12km of islands and objectives. Not fun, the only counter is to stay away from the fire, and it quickly can end a match. The game felt so much better to play years ago when things were slower with shooting. If a ship fired fast it had real downsides, and even then "fast" was more like the average fire speed now.

Nice setup for this ship, I tried it yesterday but instead of the dispersion upgrade on slot 3 I used the secondaries' range in order to use the better reload a bit earlier and it worked like a charm. Reload drops to like 13-15 seconds with AR kicking in as well and legendary. Had tried the furious skill on conqueror (as flamu's tryout) but didn't really like it but on Republique which already has a fast reload is insane.
