Okay, so uhh… how exactly am I supposed to get three Magnify Materias… if one of them is locked behind a Simulation… that I need to beat this one to unlock?

Made it to round 9, thought I had it down now im dying in random rounds. These challenges are absurd and remind me also that when an enemy in a game does a status effect youre screwed but when you do it, it barely changes anything. Of course i learned this from Pokemon but applies pretty much universally. I liked the original, make some fights absurdly difficult but give us at least 2 ribbons. ...i know ill beat the challenge but some mechanics from enemies are cheap to the point where skill is largely irrelevent. Noticed hard mode combat made sense but this is overkill. I spent so much time on the insane ubiquitous minigames that im average at materia combos and combat lol.
They did tune up the difficulty from Remake quite a bit huh Super? I really hope they add accessibility options for minigames if they plan on making it a big part of the game because I sucked at them :D
Yeah. I like it the first 3 times but some things are just like, yeah, I get it, brutal = hard as hell but idk i like being able to use my preferred builds but now im copying other's due to still not having beaten this challenge in like a week. I believe im missing a couple of materia and didnt level many puples. Did most of the intel after completing main story so that's probably it I have one of each materia but for some that i need 3 of i only got 2 Basically the savage grandhorn round and final are too difficult. Hopefully whatever I am doing wrong I can fix I blame my work schedule for a lot of this by the way LOL because I don't have like a full day to completely get everything and make sure I'm ready and try a bunch of different stuff kind of sucks
@@supersaiyanzero386 I totally get where you're coming from Super! Having to work an eight+ hour shift to come home and try to relax is all we want when we game. It can be infuriating that you now have to invest x time to clear the content! That's why I make guides to save you time! I can confirm you dont need the magnify on cloud... Just did it. But i can also confirm a couple of the rounds are a bit difficult with the timing of getting off blizzaga, doing the ward, atb boost then quakeaga as if you are just a tad slow some enemies make it away from all the chaos and you will have to do things the hard way... Lol
yeah, this strategy was a key. I struggled a lot on round 5. That damn monster mini-boss is so bulky. So maybe I did not have the most filled. but Quakega with Magnify and Arcane is truly powerful.
Didn't matter for this particular challenge, but do you think Tifa is a better mage/magic user than Yuffie, to be alongside Aerith? Even though Yuffie has a lower magic stat, her doppelganger ability helps a lot in terms of casting a free spell doesn't it?
You're right that Yuffie's Doppelganger allows her to get more cast for free. Yuffie has a much greater role to play if she was in that group as displayed in todays video!
@@Naztalgic_Memories Makes sense. Do you happen to know if unfettered fury scales off your magic stat for Tifa, as opposed to the strength stat? I'm trying to build a mage Tifa build like you in the video as well haha
@@PlaystationGamerZX Did you even read my reply? I said it's an UI bug they fixed. The video was made before the patch. If you look at the actual MP Pool I get back 30% MP, not 50%.
I basically did this by spamming Blizzaga with magnify, mp absorb, magic focus, and swiftcast. ATB stagger, ATB Boost, first strike. Really any atb boosting abilities you can fit plus genji gloves. Stick an arcane ward on the ground and can blow through most rounds. Round 6 is kinda tricky with the jellies, but having a characer with Esuna really helps.
I found Chrono Aegis to be really effective for Sandspitters. Just have everyone move to Aerith once it's up, then it becomes a frozen sitting duck regardless of who it targets :) I got sick of waiting for them to go after Cloud, so I gave this a try
@Naztalgic_Memories yes I got my 2nd magnify from the side mission in cosmo, with the ap farm in white hair side mission I got it levelled up fast and finished scorned on my 1st attempt with your meteria set up... THANK YOU
I went into this fight unprepared and got to round 9 and earthbound just devastated with me because I didn't have the fire magic. So gonna cheese it now. Your guides are great! I don't subscribe but I am subscribed to yours and liking all the guide videos I am using! Thank you.
