How do you trust a vet that misses tick-borne disease when doing "tests"? I mean I'm not vet but shouldn't that be one of top 3 tests you do on a lethargic dog? I'm glad you took him to another vet and that could treat him. He's such a beautiful dog.

Levi being rescued, properly diagnosed and treated, and loved along with making new friends in his new forever home is EVERYTHING 💖💖😘.

Every traumatized dog like Levi shows their true personality when shown love and patience.

Levi found his angel and can now lead the life he was meant to lead.

Of course snow is his favorite thing, he's a Husky!! They were bred in Siberia to live in the snow and to be sled dogs!!! Thank God for this wonderful girl who didn't give up on him and got him healthy and even lives where there is snow!!!

I cried with you. I know that worry when your dog is sick and nobody can figure out why. Hes so lucky to have found his mama❤

Lewis is a magnificient Husky I can relate to your anxiety when Lewis was ill I also rescued a wonderful pointy Labrador mix from Creta She was ill and the root cause had not been found so, I visited a new Vet and with Ct and MRI they discovered that she had Aspergillosis which can be fatal if left untreated She was my baby for 15 marvellous years You and Lewis will be happy ever ❤️🐕

My son has 3 huskies. He rescued the third one about 6 months ago. She was half the size of the other 2 and had already had a litter of puppies. Now she is same size as other 2 and hates rain as much as they do! Levi is gorgeous 😍

This dog went from a Horrible life to the Best Life Ever for a pup. He had fur siblings to play with, a loving/doting Mama, and he even has a special bond with a child. Some families cannot have a dog for multiple reasons, but having a special bond with a neighborhood dog, or any animal really, is So Important to the kids. The animal I had a special bond with growing up was a heifer I watched be born, named Star and grew up with. He helped me befriend the whole herd, and they would come running towards me as they could hear and smell me riding my bike up that huge mile long hill nearly daily as long as it was safe to do so. No street lights long winding forest lined road in the middle of nowhere back in the 1990s , you couldn't be out that way past dark... Or deal with the consequences. Long, windy, dark, forest lined road until it is forest on the left and pond on the right, and the road wraps around the pond with water on both sides at one part where there is a blind turn, then it gets incredibly steep with forest still to the left then the cemetery and you are now on the farm. It was dangerous and like Most small rural New England towns there is a MAJOR Drug and alcohol problem Ingrained into Everything and Everyone with power. Small town living is more about what do you have on who? And what do they have on you? And if they have more money and power it don't matter what you have. Aside from learning these hard lessons those animals on the farm were my escape from my Nightmareish home life, that and the Hundreds of acres of woodland. Nature protected me.

I remember when I moved into my 1st house it came with a husky and I'd always wanted one. That's how I knew it was my house. She lived in a cage and never really had love. Good that you got a 2nd opinion! 😊 I took my sweet cat in to an emergency Vet when he got very sick within a 12 hr period. They ran bloodwork & the Vet said his liver was failing & said I should think about putting him to sleep or go to a specialist for a feeding tube. I went to the specialist the next day, teaching hospital- they ran tests & said his liver was fine & he was just dehydrated with a little ear infection. Gave him IV fluids, sent us on our way w/antibiotics & he was fine thank goodness! He lived another 5 years after that, made it to 19 & gave me so much joy! ❤ 2nd opinions are fantastic 😊 I miss you, Bu…

Glad you got a second opinion. We learned the hard way that there is a great difference between a vet clinic and a hospital. We almost lost our dog.

I watch Levi all the time. Such a great story and so nice he can play in the snow now. The little kid with him was precious. I am grateful to Levi's mom, Chloe, and all who love him and help care for him.

Huskies are amazing dogs, but require the right environment and active owners. Please make sure that you and your home are appropriate for whatever dog you're getting when you adopt. It breaks my heart when large, lively breeds are kept in a cage most of the day.
