Rachel, another wonderful video! I adore your videos! I get so excited when you post.😚 I am ordering three of the round heating pads you recommend. It would be amazing if they came in various sizes. I am really excited to see your Lechuza Pon update. My hoyas are doing so much better since I added the pumice to my leca. I keep my "plant" room very humid so I think the leca was staying moist too long. Thanks to you, they are now loving life and putting out leaves like crazy.

Hi there. What I do when I transfer cuttings from water is: place the roots towards the surface of the pot in LECA, then I pour water till it’s reaching the roots. This means the water is nearly on the surface of the LECA. I also dilute 1/2 or 1/3 hydro fertilizer to help boost more roots. Then after 2 weeks, I drain the water and refill it but now reaching only half of the pot. After another two weeks, I drain again and I water normally till the water level shows it’s in between the lines. This way, the water roots are not pressed by the weight of the LECA and they don’t die. Also, they have time to grow deeper into the LECA by themselves and they won’t rot. They will also attach to the LECA and when the water level drops, they will easily get used to absorb the moisture from LECA.

Love, love your videos and I'm in the process of switching to leca. I converted my beautiful rubber tree plant a couple of days ago and it not doing well at all. The leaves are sad and drooping towards the floor. Please help, what should I do? I'm freaking out

Is it overwatered?
@vanessaasasouk7445
@vanessaasasouk7445 3 года назад
@@prettyinplants9580 I don't think so because I didn't give her any water after the conversion. I only gave her water when she was wilted

Does anyone have tips on transferring petunias to leca? I haven't had the best luck with it. 😅

Yes💚

If it “seems” warm I put a layer between the heat pad and pot
