Did he really have to tie him like that and than kick him? Too abusive, if you ask me. He’s pretty scared. I get that but a little patience can go a long way. Obviously, there’s been abuse and neglect for awhile. Poor things.
These donkeys are raised for their meat and skin…the only reason they do the pedicure for him is because when he feels better he will eat more 😫so they won’t show any respect …
The hooves are so hard and those knives are so sharp. I think he's scared of cutting a body part off, finger, hand, into knee. It doesn't hurt to tie them.
Even if there aren't any real options and it's good that the animals are being helped at all. This is pure animal cruelty including unnecessary abuse, tying off mouths, squeezing ears, UNNECESSARY. You scared the animal more and more and it makes it go even more crazy. Its feared to death and all you do is hurt them even more! Animal understanding and empathy equal to zero. It's unbelievable that we still be called master here. This brokes my heart.
You are right I watched one and they had the mule in the back of a pick up truck poor hoofs where curled up and the woman just shoved it off the back of the truck...yes they are we very mean to these animals

Tratar bem um animal, não é só aparar os cascos, ser preso pelas orelhas e nariz...só sofrimento. Nunca gostei muito deste povo, para mim os mais crueis para os animais....fazem coisas aos animais que nem ao diabo lembra...penso e sinto assim. Vivo em Portugal 🇵🇹 e sou de Lisboa. Tenho orgulho que no meu país temos santuários para várias espécies que estão em vias de extinção. Os animais são tratados com carinho, ternura, dignidade. Aqui só vejo miséria e sofrimento

Their animal husbandry is so bad. Why are there so many donkeys in distress? Take care of the animals with regular trimmed feet and solves all your problems.
The donkey is afraid of the farrier, but maybe if Master Du keeps trimming his hooves, and is gentle, the donkey will come to love Master Du with all his heart!! ❤️❤️
@@dxgi3737 He was using his foot to try to get the donkey upright instead of leaning heavily to one side. He was keeping his torso and head away from the kick zone.

I totally agree…The pain these poor donkeys have should be passed back to them to let them feel the pain… If they can treat their donkeys this way…..there is no telling what else they can hurt without battling a eye.. Makes me sick and angry😡😡

Master Du is just AMAZING! You watch these other channels that trim hooves and they are using all these different tool and gadgets while Master Du is using at most 3 different tools but primarily he uses the had tool and does an amazing job trimming and shaping the hooves perfectly! You’re so diluted! He smacks these beautiful animals and uses archaic tools which are cruel and painful to the animals. Watch a professional shoer not a relic who only inflicts pain and suffering to these beautiful animals. I’d like to trim his nails and smack him around so he knows what he’s doing to these donkeys.

Surely you’ve got better methods to trim hoofs now? Strapping the donkey up to little effect then kicking it seems a little brutal! This guys could learn a thing or two watching how things are done over here in the UK, properly!

Still, they may not have the fancy equipment, but there have to be more humane and compassionate ways to go about it than this. I get these animals can get you unruly at times, but this delves into the realm of abuse. I mean, if it's in pain, numb the hoof area in question, restrain it in a way that doesn't scare the crap out of them, and NEVER strike or kick them. I have seen videos on how it's done both in the UK and in the USA, both with and without the equipment. They were NEVER mistreated, it NEVER got like this.

Poor donkeys, you don't treat them kind enough. Plus if you cared for their feet more often and keep them in a better place they would be more healthy and they would also be kinder and more trusting towards you.

This appears to be the way hoof trimming has been done for years (possibly hundreds or thousands of years). It is obvious that these donkeys have been mistreated. At least the donkeys are being treated and not killed. I understand the need to immobilize or exhaust the donkeys so they do not hurt humans, but I do not like the methods.
Truly backwards, barbaric and midevil. Why not build a stansion where the animals head goes through first then the area around the neck becomes restricted and closes. The animals body is then restricted on the sides as well. Since the animal cannot move, it is easier to quickly trim the hooves, release the animal then proceeded to the next one. :-)

Sorry, I dont sgree with the way they try to restrain these donkeys, there are much less stressful and safer ways of doing this. What he does to their feet is brilliant, I just wish it was a less stressful process for the poor animals.
Be nice to them. They’re scared and you nothing to calm them down. WTH… YOU TIE THEIR NOSE, twist their legs to the point they look like they’re going to break. That’s why they kick you and fight.
The owners should be ashamed of themselves n have to pay a huge fine, n animals taken away from them cruelty to animals that they have done to. Give them an infection an not treat them see how they like it.. quit tieing there noses n ears have it done to them see how they like it

There are very little animal protection laws in China. Most of the farmers this channel works with are farmers who are selling their donkeys and only care now so it looks better to a buyer. They say the farmers will also leave them that way because it makes the donkey weigh more so they can get more money for it.
They need to invest into a donkey crush or something simple so they don’t put them through so much stress, especially if they are not handling the donkey’s properly. The donkey’s are clearly not handled enough to do their hooves. I know you have to get their hooves trimmed but you can’t just breed something for the intention of pulling carts, knowing that eventually you’ll have to trim their hooves and not handle it when it young. It’s not fair on the animal. The owner shouldn’t have animals.
We have a donkey, granted he's super sweet. No tack used when he's trimmed, total liberty. But we've tried this technique with hard headed horses. May help. Find the swirl on their forehead. Have someone "tap". Changes their focus to that and not the farrier!! Youre doing awesome work!!!
